2008 SEASON - FRESHMAN
Basically earned the starting position as the designated player by starting the final 13 Mountain West Conference games ... Her 1.94 ERA was the fourth-lowest in the MWC by pitchers with enough innings to qualify ... Tied for third on the team with two home runs and was fourth with 20 RBI, despite playing in just 36 games ... Homered once every 44.5 at-bats, which trailed only Megan McDonald (1 HR every 32.4 at-bats) ... Both homers came in big situations as the first was a grand slam and the second was a three-run home run ... Had a .382 slugging percentage, which would be fourth on the team if she had enough at-bats to qualify ... Seven of her 23 hits were for extra-bases, including five doubles and two homers ... In the circle, she tossed three complete game shutouts ... Had 70 strikeouts in 75 2/3 innings, or 6.48 strikeouts-per-7 innings, the second-best ratio on the team ... Put together two four-game hit streaks ... The first was from March 14-18, where she was 4-for-10 (.400) with five RBI ... Sister, Amanda, played softball at SDSU and lettered four years from 2004-07 ... Chose San Diego State because her sister, Amanda, played here and she wanted to stay close to home ... Majoring in kinesiology with plans of eventually getting involved with physical therapy.
