Doubles
– Competed five times, all in tournaments with Liam Spiers… Played twice at the ITA Southwest Regional Championships… Competed three times in the Pacific Coast Doubles Championships including an 8-2 win over Sondhu/Flores on March 1.
 
Singles – Played twice in the ITA Southwest Regional Championships in October.
 
2022-23 SEASON (As a Freshman)
Doubles – Competed in seven matches including one dual match with two partners… Played six times with Liam Spiers… Opened the season by making the consolation finals of the Wildcat Invitational with two wins on Sept. 17 over Gonzaga’s Gomez Galvan/Bats (withdrawal due to injury) and New Mexico State’s Lynum/Mathan (6-2)... Won their first match in the Pacific Coast Doubles Championships against California Lutheran’s McBride/Moylan 4-2, 1-4, 9-7 on Mar. 3… Also played with Andre Saleh on the third court against UNLV’s Atherton/Ornberg on Apr. 6.

Singles – Competed in five matches… Advanced to the consolation finals of the Wildcat Invitational by beating Gonzaga’s Martin Bats (withdrawal due to injury) on Sept. 17… Played twice in the ITA Southwest Regional Championships.

PRIOR TO COLLEGE
Attended Laurel Springs School in Ojai, California and the University of Luxembourg... Won multiple young national championships between 2016 and 2019... Won the 2021 Luxembourg National Men's Championship by beating ATP top 300 players in straight sets to clinch it... Member of the state selection of Saarland, Germany.

Lennart Melzer was born Dec. 10, 2001, in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg... Son of Michele Helminger... Five relatives have played for the Luxembourgish National Women's Basketball Team... Enjoys painting, travelling, playing board and card games, and watching sports... Is majoring in comparative international studies with plans of playing professional tennis after graduation...
