2023-24 SEASON (As a Sophomore)
Doubles – Played 32 matches including 22 of 23 dual matches… Competed with five different partners… Led the team with 21 overall wins (21-1-0), four conference wins (4-2) and six tournament wins (6-4) while finishing second with 14 dual wins (14-6) … Finished the season partnered with Johannes Seeman, going 9-3 while playing on the second court for seven matches before going to the top court for the final five… After joining Seeman, won three straight matches, beating Tulane’s Petrovic/Scherer 6-2 on March 16, Texas Tech’s Collier/Sekiguchi 6-4 on March 17 and Portland’s Ocana Keremedchiev 6-2 on March 22… Won four straight matches to begin April… During that stretch, took down Nevada’s Zisswiller/Tregoures 7-5 on April 1, Air Force’s Deaton/Garner 6-1 on April 4, New Mexico’s Samaha/Recoura 7-6 (7-4) on April 8 and UNLV’s top duo of Ornberg/Atherton 6-4 on April 18… Played on the top court in the Mountain West Championships, beating Nevada’s Coupu/Kadiri 6-2 in the Quarterfinals and Utah State’s Paardekooper/Pinheiro 6-4 in the Semifinals… Competed with Bora Sengul on 13 occasions, going 8-3 while playing on the third court in dual matches… Began dual play with three straight wins, beating Brigham Young’s Wells/Goldammer 6-4 on Jan. 11, Sacramento State’s Chodur/Rand 6-2 on Jan. 19 and UC Irvine’s Sah/Luque Rico 7-5 on Jan. 27… Advanced to the Round of 16 in the Pacific Coast Doubles Championships in the beginning of March, taking down Asgharpour/Farres Oriol 6-0, 6-2, Boston College’s Bianchi/Vassel 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) and Pacific’s Rodeia/Czaplinski 6-4, 6-3… The pair earned a win in their next dual match against Gonzaga on March 11, winning 6-2 over Krauel/Dunlop… Won twice in four matches with Chikaya Sato, taking down Cal Poly’s Ferguson/Haviv 8-4 and USC’s Kazuma Lee/Makk 8-5 on October 20 in the ITA Southwest Regional Championships… Competed twice with Liam Spiers, beating Nevada’s Destouet/Tregoures 8-7 (9-7) in the National Collegiate Tennis Classic on Jan. 13… Also played once with Andre Saleh.
 
Singles – Played in 34 matches including 22 of 23 dual matches… Competed mostly on the fourth court… Led the team with seven tournament wins (7-5) and finished second with 18 overall wins (18-12), three Mountain West wins (3-3) and 11 dual wins (11-7) … Won his first two matches at the USTA Pro Futures, beating Arizona State’s Maxwell McKennon (1-6, 6-3, 10-3) on Sept. 25 and Mark Sakusic (6-2, 6-3) on Sept. 26… Earned a pair of wins at the ITA Southwest Regional Championships Oct. 19-21, beating Arizona State’s Roi Ginat (6-2, 6-3) and Loyola Marymount’s Nicolas Pesoli (6-3, 6-4)… Beat Oregon’s Lachlan Robertson (4-6, 6-3, 10-5) in the Kramer Collegiate Classic on November 4… Opened the spring with two more victories in the National Collegiate Tennis Classic, beating Nevada’s Youssef Kadiri (1-6, 6-4, 10-7, Jan. 12) and Edgar Destouet (6-0, 6-2, Jan. 13)… Won eight consecutive results between Feb. 16 and March 22… During that stretch, defeated Idaho’s Mario Duron Garza (6-2, 2-6, 6-0), UC Riverside’s Hugo DeGrande (6-3, 6-2), San Francisco’s Giovanni Branchetti (4-6, 7-5, 6-2), Saint Mary’s’ Thibaud Maxant (4-6, 6-2, 6-4), Loyola Marymount’s Toky Ranaivo (6-3, 6-4), Gonzaga’s Pablo Gomez Galvan (6-3, 7-5), Tulane’s Fynn Kuenkler (7-6 (7-4), 6-4) and Portland’s Maxim Groysman (6-4, 6-1)… Brought home Mountain West Player of the Week on April 10 after consecutive wins over Alex Fritzinger (6-2, 6-0 on April 4), of Air Force, and Georgio Samaha (6-7 (3-7), 6-1, 6-3 on April 8), of New Mexico… Followed it up with another win, taking down UNLV’s Taiyo Hirano (6-1, 2-6, 7-5).

2022-23 SEASON (As a Freshman)
Doubles
– Competed in 20 matches including 17 of 18 dual matches with four partners… Played 14 times with Mathieu Josserand and beat Cal Poly’s Pellouchoud/Fonseca 8-3 (UCSB Fall Classic, Oct. 8), Loyola Marymount’s Otico/Padro Parra 6-2 (Feb. 17) and independents Mariga/Ziella 4-1, 5-3 (Pacific Coast Doubles Championships, Mar. 3)... Teamed up once with Alexander Mandma… Paired up with Andre Saleh seven times on the third court highlighted by a 6-4 win over Nevada’s Liborio/Benn on Apr. 16… Played twice with Johannes Seeman including once on the top court.

Singles – Competed in 27 matches including 17 of 18 dual matches… Played mostly on the No. 5 court… Led the team with six dual wins and three conference wins while placing second with 13 overall wins and seven tournament wins… Finished .500 or better overall (13-10) and in tournament (7-3) and conference (3-3) play… Won two of three matches in the Battle in the Bay Qualifying, both against players for San Francisco (Moritz Hoffmann 6-1, 1-0, Sept. 16; Johan Garpered 6-2, 6-4, Sept. 17)... Earned victories in five of his final six matches in the fall with three wins at the UCSB Fall Classic (Thibaud Maxant, Saint Mary’s, 6-3, 6-1, Oct 8; Ben Keyser, Cal Poly, 6-1, 1-6, 6-2, Oct. 8; Pierre Boullenger, UC Santa Barbara, 7-5, 6-4, Oct. 9) and two against UC Santa Barbara players at the ITA Southwest Regional Championships (Pierre Boullenger, 7-6 (7), 6-2, Oct. 20; Lucca Liu, 3-6, 6-2, 10-7, Oct. 22)... Earned the first Mountain West Freshman of the Week award in school history for his dual season opening win against Arkansas’ Foster Rogers (6-3, 0-6, 7-5) on the sixth court on Jan. 13… Closed out the season with five consecutive wins, the longest singles winning streak on the team all year…Garnered Mountain West Freshman of the Week accolades for wins over UC San Diego’s Jett Cole (6-1, 7-6 (2), Apr. 15) and Nevada’s Juan Batalla (6-4, 5-7, 6-2, Apr. 16)... Finished the regular season with a win over New Mexico’s Nikolay Sysoev (6-3, 2-6, 7-5, Apr. 20) and the match clinching victory over Air Force’s Jack Brown (6-3, 6-3, Apr. 22)... Won his match in the Mountain West Championship Quarterfinal against Boise State’s John Chin (2-6, 7-6 (2), 6-1, Apr. 26).

PRIOR TO COLLEGE
Ranked the second best 12 year old in Mexico and played with the Mexican National Team for a month in Austria and Italy... Competed in the Coupe Le Blanc in Quebec, Canada... Brought home the gold at the COSAT Junior International Tournament in Monterrey, Mexico, beating competitors from all over the Americas... Competed in the Orange Bowl Tournament as a 14 year old and a 16 year old and the US National Championships in Kalamazoo, Michigan, as a 16 year old... Won the Yamasaki, Matador, and Claremont Tournaments. This year, won first in ATP Double Points at Cancun M15... Ranked in the top 800 in the ITF Pro Singles World Ranking.
