2021-22 SEASON (As a Sophomore)

Doubles - Appeared in ten matches alongside Jules Auffray at the third position… The pair picked up a 7-5 victory against Portland (Feb. 5) in an Aztecs 4-3 win… Beat Penn (Mar. 12) 6-4 as the stars of the day for SDSU… Also started eight times with Alexander Mandma, primarily at third… Bounced back from a loss in their conference debut to earn three straight victories, beating Utah State (April 10) 6-2, New Mexico (April 16) 6-1, and Nevada (April 23) 7-5… Played in four tournament matches with Alex Scemanenco, including a win over Deslisle and Rudnicki of Cal Poly and Grand Canyon in the Larry Easley Memorial Classic (Sep. 18)... Competed five times with Roni Rikkonen, including a win over Bhullar and Alonso of Loyola Marymount in the SDSU Fall Invitational (Oct. 15), and dual leads over Pomona-Pitzer (5-2, Feb. 26) and Portland (4-3, Mar. 26) that went unfinished due to the doubles point being earned… Played with UC San Diego’s Zach Ermert once in the SDSU Fall Invitational (Oct. 17).

Singles - Started in 32 matches including 19 of 20 duals… Won 16 matches including a 7-6 tournament record and a 4-2 record in Mountain West play… Began the year by making it to the consolation finals of the Larry Easley Memorial Classic by beating Grand Canyon’s Grzegorz Rudnicki (6-2, 6-1, Sep. 17) and UNLV’s Jack Hambrook (6-0, 6-2, Sep. 18) while also winning his extra singles match over Loic Van Zeggelar, also of Grand Canyon (7-5, 6-2, Sep. 19)... Beat Loyola Marymount’s Jose Dominguez Alonso in the SDSU Fall Invitational (Oct. 16) in a hard fought match (7-5, 5-7, 7-5) and UCLA’s Max Wild (6-3, 6-3) in the ITA Southwest Regional Championships (Oct. 22)… Closed out the tournament season by winning twice in the San Diego Veterans Tennis Classic, beating Navy’s Finn Garner (6-4, 6-4, Nov. 5) and UC San Diego’s Pelayo Rodriguez (6-4, 6-3, Nov. 6)... Started off dual play with a (6-1, 6-2) win against Tristan Taylor of UC San Diego (Feb. 2)… Got hot in the middle of the season, winning seven of ten, beating Gonzaga’s Leon Roider (6-2, 7-5, Feb. 26), Pomona-Pitzer’s Jansen Comadena (6-2, 6-4, Feb. 26), Penn’s Jonah Jurick (7-6 (3), 4-5, ret., Mar. 12), Air Force’s Jordan Azuma (6-3, 6-3, Mar. 13), and Portland’s Issa Yoshida (6-2, 7-6 (5), Mar. 26)... The final three wins of the streak were consecutive, beating Anton Ornberg of UNLV (6-3, 1-6, 6-1, April 8), Javier Ruiz of Utah State (6-3, 6-2, April 10), and Alex Maggs of New Mexico (6-3, 6-3, April 16)... Won against Justin Waldman of Air Force (6-3, 6-3, April 29) for his final win of the season.

2020-21 SEASON (As a Freshman)
     Doubles — Posted a 9-8 record with three different playing partners, including a 7-6 mark with Ignacio Martinez at the No. 2 position … Joined forces with Victor Castro for a pair of wins on the No. 3 court in the Aztecs’ doubleheader sweep of UC San Diego (2-26-21) … Duo upended the Tritons’ Cody Duong and William Lan in the opener, 6-2, before replicating the feat in the nightcap by a 6-2 count vs. Lan and Tristan Taylor … Was part of the first tandem off the court in SDSU’s 4-3 nail-biter on the road at Loyola Marymount after combining with Martinez for a 6-2 victory over the Lions’ Ethan Prost and Emin Torlic, as the Scarlet and Black secured the crucial doubles point (3-21-21) … The Aztec tandem also provided the clinching results in doubles play against Washington (3-26-21) and Utah State (4-1-21), including a 7-6(10) thriller over the Huskies’ Alexis Alvarez and Jack Davis, followed by a 6-2 pasting of the Aggies’ Sergiu Bucur/Souf El Mesbahi … Helped SDSU snap a six-match losing streak after joining forces with Martinez for a 6-1 rout of Nevada’s Satchel Benn and Loris Zisswiller, as the Aztecs earned another doubles point en route to the 4-0 sweep of the Wolf Pack (4-18-21) … Came away with a 6-3 triumph over UC Santa Barbara’s Victor Krustev and Joseph Rotheram in SDSU's home finale (4-28-21) … Began the year alongside Roni Rikkonen at the No. 3 position for matches vs. Cal Poly (2-4-21) and at No. 1 USC (2-7-21).
     Singles — Won five matches in his rookie campaign alternating between the fourth, fifth and sixth spots on the Aztecs’ ladder … Posted his first two collegiate victories in SDSU’s doubleheader sweep of UC San Diego, defeating the Tritons’ William Lan in the No. 5 slot, 6-4, 7-6, before toppling Eric Silberman in the fourth position, 6-2, 7-5 (2-26-21) … Competed at the No. 6 spot in his last 10 starts of the spring, including a straight-set decision over Utah’s Rian Ta, 6-4, 7-6(4), which snapped a personal five-match slide (3-30-21) … Recorded consecutive wins with a 6-3, 6-3 triumph over Santa Clara’s Vasileios Iliopoulos (4-19-21), followed by a 6-4, 6-0 conquest of UNLV’s Tom Ciszewski, with the latter victory helping the Scarlet and Black secure a 4-3 thriller over the Rebels in its Mountain West finale (4-24-21).

PRIOR TO COLLEGE
Arrives at San Diego State with a Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) of 12 and a No. 21 USTA national ranking … Was tabbed a five-star recruit by TennisRecruiting.net and received a No. 4 ranking in the Pacific Northwest by the website ... Graduated in 2020 from Sprague High School, where he won four varsity letters under head coach Gary Wheeler … His senior season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic … Named the Mid-Valley Player of the Year on two occasions by the Salem Statesman Journal … Advanced to the title match of the Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA) 6A Boys Singles Championships as a junior in 2019 after entering as the tournament's No. 2 seed … Joined forces with his older brother Logan to reach the state doubles semifinals as a freshman in 2017 … Also excelled at the junior level, winning the USTA National Level Three Tournament held in Lakewood, California, in September 2019 … Finished third at the USTA Boys' 18 National Indoor Championships three months later in Overland Park, Kansas … Chose San Diego State over the likes of Iowa, Michigan State, Alabama, Chattanooga and Lipscomb during the recruiting process.

Judson Blair was born and raised in Salem, Oregon … Son of B.J. and Rhonda Blair … Both parents were standout student-athletes at the University of Iowa … Father garnered five All-America accolades as a diver in the platform (1991-92, 94-95) and 1-meter (1992) events … Mother was an all-Big Ten women’s tennis honoree (1994) and an all-conference academic selection (1994-95) … Has two siblings who also play tennis … Older brother Logan competed at Biola University, while his younger sister Elizabeth is a junior in high school … Lists French tennis player Gael Monfils as his favorite athlete … Hobbies include skateboarding, spending time with family and friends, and attending church youth group … Intends to major in business at San Diego State with career plans to become a financial advisor.
