2021-22 SEASON (As a Junior)

Doubles - Started 23 matches with Joe Tyler as the Aztecs’ top doubles pairing, winning 14 of them… Started off the season with six consecutive victories, going 3-0 at the North Ranch Invitational, beating Hietaranta/Moreno of Nebraska (8-6, Sep. 24), Ornberg/Zhang of UNLV/UCSB (8-1, Sep. 25), and Becroft/Otico of Loyola Marymount (8-7 (4), Sep. 26)... The pair won their first three opponents in the ITA Southwest Regional Championships, UC Santa Barbara’s Castillo/Williams (8-2, Oct. 22), Pepperdine’s De Jonge/Halldin (8-5, Oct. 22), and Arizona’s Hassey/Smith (8-6, Oct. 23)... Won four straight starting with their final match in the Jack Kramer Collegiate Invitational (8-3, Nov. 6) against Leather/Smith of Cal Poly before beating their first three dual opponents, UC San Diego’s P. Lan/Traxler (6-2, Feb. 2), Portland’s Neos/Pankin (6-3, Feb. 5), and Washington’s Davis/Wong (6-3, Feb. 6)... The pair also started conference play on a three game winning streak, winning against Brodney/Dabic of UNLV (6-2, April 8), Ciemy/Zarkovic of Utah State (6-4, April 10), and Prieto/Azkara of New Mexico (6-2, April 16)... Beat Air Force’s Baylon/Azuma (6-3, April 29) in the Mountain West Tournament... Played in seven matches with Johannes Seeman at the second position… Started out with wins against Gonzaga’s Anderson/Roider (6-3, Feb. 26) and Pomona-Pitzer’s Madabhushi/Stark (6-2, Feb. 26)... Shut out Kersten/Krawietz of Air Force (Mar. 13) in their lone Mountain West match (6-0)... Played with Alexander Mandma in the Larry Easley Memorial Classic, making it to the finals by beating Arizona State’s Brachman/Hoffmann (8-4, Sep. 17), UNLV’s Bulus/Dabic (9-7, Sep. 18), and Cal Poly’s Inno/Smith (8-6, Sep. 18).

Singles - Appeared in 29 matches including all 20 dual matches… Won 12 matches including a winning 3-2 record in the Mountain West… Made it to the Consolation Finals of the Larry Easley Memorial Classic by beating Cal Poly’s Joe Leather (1-6, 7-5, 10-8, Sep. 17) and Gonzaga’s Oliver Andersson (3-6, 6-3, 12-10, Sep. 18)... Won twice at the North Ranch Invitational against Anton Ornberg of UNLV (6-3, 6-4, Sep. 24) and John Bryan Otico of Loyola Marymount (6-3, 2-6, 6-3, Sep. 18)... Picked up a win in his first match at the ITA Southwest Regional Championships against Colter Smith of Cal Poly (7-5, 6-4, Oct. 22)... Won his first dual match against Pelayo Rodriguez of UC San Diego (3-6, 6-4, 6-4, Feb. 2)... Rattled off victories in two straight finishes against UC Santa Barbara’s Viktor Krustev (7-6 (6), 6-3, Feb. 11) and Cal Poly’s Fernando Fonseca (6-3, 6-2, Feb. 13)... Beat Portland’s Eleftherios Neos (6-4, 3-6, 6-2, Mar. 26) for his last non-conference win… Finished the regular season with three straight wins, beating New Mexico’s Aram Noroozian (6-3, 2-6, 6-3, April 16), Boise State’s Jan Lucca Marquart (6-2, 6-4, April 21), and Nevada’s Delmas N’Tcha (6-4, 6-3, April 23).
 

2020-21 SEASON (As a Sophomore)
Made a tremendous impact in his first year at San Diego State when he led the Aztecs with 11 doubles victories and received all-Mountain West recognition for the first time in his career.
     Doubles — Posted a 9-4 record at the No. 1 position playing alongside Johannes Seeman, with the duo receiving all-MW recognition … Tandem reeled off five straight victories from March 21-April 9, highlighted by a crucial victory over Loyola Marymount’s Diego Nava and Daniel Moreno, 7-6(5), that clinched the important doubles point, as the Scarlet and Black ultimately prevailed on the road, 4-3 (3-21-21) … Pairing also emerged triumphant in consecutive matches over fellow all-Mountain West doubles selections Felipe Acosta/Javier Ruiz of Utah State (6-4 (4-1-21)) and Paul Hendrix/Jamie Bautista of Air Force (6-3 (4-9-21) … Combo additionally pinned a 6-2 defeat on Washington’s Clement Chidekh and Thibault Cancel, who entered the match with a 10-4 record (3-26-21), following a 6-4 victory over Boise State’s Blake Bayldon and Simon Arca Costa, who were 3-0 at match time (3-13-21) … Duo ended the year with a rush thanks to a pair of 6-3 decisions over UC Santa Barbara’s Stefano Tsorotiotis and Alejandro Vedri (4-28-21) and San Diego’s Nico Borter and August Holmgren (5-1-21) …  Helped the Aztecs to a doubleheader sweep at home over UC San Diego in his Division I collegiate debut after combining with Judson Blair for a pair of victories in the No. 3 slot … Pairing opened with a 6-2 conquest of the Tritons’ William Lan and Cody Duong before dispatching Lan and Tristan Taylor by similar 6-4 count in the nightcap (2-26-21) … Also teamed with Rafael Gonzalez Almazan on the No. 1 court vs. UC Davis, as the duo built a commanding 5-2 lead over the Aggies’ Dariush Jalali and Arjith Jayaraman before the encounter was suspended (3-5-21).
     Singles — Notched four victories in 18 starts with a pair of unfinished results … Played in the No. 2 position over the final 11 dual matches of the spring after alternating between the fourth and fifth slots … Defeated UC San Diego’s Tristan Taylor by a 6-4, 6-4 count at No. 5 for his first singles win in a Scarlet and Black uniform (2-26-21) … Helped SDSU rally for a 4-3 triumph at Loyola Marymount with a crucial three-set decision on the No. 4 court over Max Kaiser, 3-6, 7-6(3), 6-3, avenging an earlier defeat to his Lion adversary the previous week (3-21-21) … Emerged victorious in his second match in the No. 2 slot after pinning a straight-set defeat on Utah’s Slava Shainyan, 7-6(3), 6-2 (3-30-21) … Won going away in a three-set battle with UC Santa Barbara’s Stefano Tsorotiotis, 6-7(5), 6-4, 6-1, in the Aztecs’ home finale (4-28-21).
 
2017-18 SEASON (As a Freshman at Cerritos College)
Starred at powerhouse Cerritos College as a freshman, helping the Falcons capture the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) team title … Finished the year with a No. 2 state doubles ranking by the ITA after compiling a 24-1 record with playing partner Kent Hunter … Duo posted an 8-3 victory over Mikey Vizcarra and Sam Hall of American River College in the championship final, as the Falcons prevailed by a 5-0 count for the state crown in Ventura, California (4-25-18) … Tandem suffered its only loss of the season in the individual state championships later in the week in Ojai, California, falling to fellow Cerritos teammates Alex Prokopchuk and Marcos Paulo Silvestre in a super-tiebreaker, 3-6, 7-6(5), 10-4 (4-29-18) … In addition, the pairing took home the Western States Conference East Division doubles crown, defeating fellow Falcon players Dario Rico-Altozano and Kwangeun Lee by an 8-5 tally (4-12-18) …  Also earned a No. 4 state singles ranking after amassing a 20-4 mark … Advanced to the WSC East Division singles finale but came up just short against his Cerritos doubles partner Hunter, dropping a tough three-set decision, 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 (4-12-18) … Reached the semifinals of the state tournament where he fell to Falcon teammate Prokopchuk once again (4-28-18).
