As a Junior (Fall 2004)
Singles - Had a fall record of 4-2... Won two-of-three matches at the USD Surf and Volley Challenge, defeating Arizona's Tim Mullane, 5-7, 6-4, 6-4, and San Diego's Sammy Atri, 6-1, 6-1... In the consolation round of the ITA Western Championships, he again, took two-of-three matches, posting victories over Bruce Aiken of Southern California (7-5, 6-3) and Daniel Davies of Arizona State (6-4, 2-6, 10-8).
Doubles - Posted a 2-1 overall record... Played two matches with Armando Carrascosa and went 1-1... The two defeated San Diego's Meschede/Ozurovich, 8-5, at the USD Surf and Volley Challenge... Also at the Surf and Volley, he and Markus Dickhardt downed Southern California's Wright/Loucks by a final tally of 8-4.
Prior to SDSU
Attended Saddleback College in Mission Viejo... Was ranked individually as high as No. 18 in the final 2003 California Community College men's tennis state rankings... His team was ranked No. 3 in the same poll... Went 16-9 in singles (10-6 at No. 1) and 11-8 in doubles (6-3 at No. 2)... Earned all-Orange Empire Conference honors in singles and doubles... Team was 16-3 overall and champions of the OEC with an 8-0 record... In 2002, he was ranked 21st in the state and his team was rated eighth... Notched a 14-9 record (6-1 at No. 2) in singles... Earned all-conference honors in singles... Team was OEC champions (13-5, 10-0 OEC).
