2022 Season
Named to the All-Pac-12 Second Team… Finished second in the Pac-12 in saves per game (3.1)… Had three shutouts and a Pac-12 high 52 saves, including at No. 2 Stanford where he had a career-high eight saves… Started 17 matches and had a 4-9-4 record… Faced 210 shots in 1,530 minutes and allowed 28 goals… Had save percentage of 0.650… Was team co-captain… Signed a homegrown contract with the Seattle Sounders after the year.

2021 Season
Named to the All-Pac-12 First Team, becoming the first Aztec goalkeeper to earn first team honors since 2006.… Named Pac-12 Player of the Week and was named to the Top Drawer and College Soccer News Team of the Week for his play against California (9/16) and Stanford (9/12)… Started all 17 games… Finished with 66 saves and a 0.805 save percentage… Allowed 16 goals, good for 0.93 goals allowed average… Had an 8-6-2 record… Recorded seven shutouts against CSUN (8/26), Loyola Marymount (8/30), including five consecutive against UC Davis (9/10), CSU Bakersfield (9/12), California (9/16), Stanford (9/19), and Gonzaga (9/24)… Faced 198 shots… Led the team with 1549 minutes.

At Washington (2019-21)
After redshirting the 2019 season, made two starts in the 2020 season where he allowed two goals in 136 minutes… Went 2-0-0… Had a goals allowed average of 1.32… Made his college debut against Gonzaga (2-7-21) with a first half shutout… Played all 92 minutes against the Aztecs (3-6-21) where he allowed two goals… Helped UW make the Elite Eight in both seasons.

High School/Club:
Attended Spanaway Lake HS where he received three varsity letters… Earned all-state honors as a junior… Joined the Seattle Sounders Academy in 2017 and made two appearances for Seattle Sounders FC 2 in 2018… Played football (wide receiver) for two seasons.

Personal:
Born in Tacoma, Wash. to Nora and Henry Castro… Lists goalkeeper Edouard Mendy as his favorite athlete... Majoring in social sciences.
