2022 Season
Did not appear in any games.
At Old Dominion (2019-21)
Was a three-year starter at Old Dominion… Was named to the All-Conference USA Third Team following the 2020 season when he had a goals allowed average of 1.60 and ranked 17th in the country with 4.62 saves per game… Earned Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week twice that year… As a freshman, appeared in 14 games, played 1,311:15 minutes and recorded 55 saves with a .640 save percentage… In 2021 started all 14 matches, made 54 saves and had a .667 save percentage.
High School/Club
Attended the prestigious Barça Residency Academy in Casa Grande, Arizona where he played on the No. 1 ranked DA team… Started his prep career at Boulder HS (Colo.) where he was a first team all-state selection as a sophomore after helping his team go 21-0, win a state championship and receive a ranking of No. 2 in the nation.

Hopkins & Doumbia Win WAC Major Awards
Head coach Ryan Hopkins was named the Coach of the Year and Djibril Doumbia was named the Goalkeeper of the Year. In addition to Doumbia, the Aztecs placed three others on the All-WAC First Team with Reid Fisher, André Puente and Terence Okoeguale being honored.
Djibril Doumbia Wins Second Straight WAC Goalkeeper of the Week Award
Doumbia has recorded four straight shutouts and has six clean sheets in his eight WAC matches. In conference play, he leads the WAC in shutouts per game (0.75), goals allowed average (0.25) and save percentage (.905).
Aztecs Win WAC Regular Season Championship
The San Diego men’s soccer team (10-4-3, 7-0-1) shutout Air Force 2-0 in the regular season finale to complete their undefeated WAC season and clinch the regular season championship. This is San Diego State’s first conference championship in school history.
Aztecs Host Air Force for Senior Day
The San Diego State men’s soccer team closes out the regular season Sunday when they host Air Force for senior day at noon. SDSU can clinch the WAC regular championship Sunday with a win or draw.
Djibril Doumbia Named WAC Goalkeeper of the Week
Doumbia helped the Aztecs record shutouts in both of SDSU’s matches last week. In conference play he leads the WAC in goals allowed average (0.29), shutout percentage (71%) and save percentage (90%).

The Aztecs remain undefeated in the WAC and recorded their third straight shutout and fifth over the last seven matches.

The Redhawks, who hadn’t lost a conference match in two years, outshot the Aztecs 20-5 but just 5-3 in shots on goal. With the win, SDSU improves to a perfect 4-0-0 start to conference play for the first time in program history.
