Captured medalist honors at the California State Fair Amateur Championship in Sacramento over Labor Day Weekend, where he carded a 16-under 200, highlighted by an opening-round 64 ... Finished one shot off the 54-hole tournament record of 199.
2016-17 Season (As A Junior)
Garnered all-Mountain West accolades for the first time in his career after posting a 72.64 scoring average, which ranked third on the team ... Logged five top-20 placements, including two in the top five ... Was one of three SDSU playes to appear in all 12 tournaments in his first year as a full-time starter ... Tallied 14 rounds at or below par, including four in the 60s.
Spring: Averaged 73.17 strokes in 24 rounds ... Was the Aztecs' No. 1 competitor in two events, including the Lamkin San Diego Classic, where he matched his career-best finish with a runner-up placement at 6-under 210 to earn MW Golfer of the Week honors ... Shot a season-low 67 in the opening round (March 13-14) ... Also tied for 10th at the Oregon Duck Invitational after firing a 1-over 214 (March 27-28) ... Recorded SDSU's second-highest individual finish at the highly competitive Southern Highlands Collegiate, landing in the 36th position at 8-over 224 (March 6-7) ... Finished alone in 22nd place with a 2-over 215 at the Prestige at PGA West to open the spring (Feb. 20-22) ... Started the Mountain West Championship for the second year in row, tying for 28th at 2-over 218 (April 21-23) ... Made his first postseason appearance in an Aztec uniform at the NCAA Washington Regional, carding a 12-over 225 to tie for 43rd.
Fall: Posted a 71.58 scoring average in 12 rounds ... Shared the team lead with a 2-over 215 at the season-opening Gopher Invitational, where he landed in the seventh spot individually ... Propelled the Scarlet and Black to the first of two tournament crowns on the year after tying for third with a 2-under 214 at the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate ... Led the squad with a 69 in the final round (Sept. 23-24) ... Shot a fall-best 68 in the first and third rounds of the Alister MacKenzie Invitational, where he tied for 23rd at 4-under 209 (Oct. 10-11) ... Had two rounds count toward SDSU's team score at the Saint Mary's Invitational, helping the Aztecs to a successful title defense. Tied for 13th individually at the event with an 8-over 221 (Oct. 24-26).
Summer 2016
Tied for fourth place at the Sierra Players Invitational in July after carding a 3-under-par 213 at Winchester Country Club in Meadow Ridge, Calif. ... Also competed at the Southwestern Amateur Championship in Scottsdale, Ariz., where he tied for 14th at even-par 280.
2015-16 Season (As A Sophomore)
Earned first varsity letter after competing in 11 events ... Posted a 73.67 scoring average and completed 11 rounds at or below par ... Logged four top-20 placements, including a pair of top-fives.
Spring: Appeared in seven tournaments, averaging 73.95 strokes in 21 rounds ... Recorded his highest finish of the year after tying for fifth as an unattached golfer at the Barona Collegiate Cup with a season-best 4-under-par 212 (March 21-23) ... Also placed among the top 20 as an individual competitor at The Farms Collegiate Invite, tying for the 18th position with an 8-over 224 (Feb. 8-9) ... Drew a starting assignment in three events, including the Western Intercollegiate, where he was SDSU's No. 3 finisher at 7-over 217 (April 11-13) ... Also cracked the Aztec lineup for the Mountain West Championship, landing in the 52nd position at 15-over 231 (April 22-24).
Fall: Started three of four tournaments he participated in ... Had all three rounds count toward SDSU's winning score at the Saint Mary's Invitational, where he shot a 4-over 217 (71-72-74) to help the Scarlet and Black take home the team title (Sept. 14-16) ... Fired a collegiate-low 9-under 207 to finish second as an unattached golfer at the Cal State San Marcos Fall Classic ... Carded a personal-best 65 during the second round, which is tied for seventh on the school's all-time list for lowest 18-hole score (Oct. 25-26) ... Also compete at the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate, where he tied for 49th with an 11-over 227 (Sept. 25-26) and the Gifford Collegiate, where he shot an identical 227 to tie for 60th (Nov. 2-4).
2014-15 Season (As A Freshman)
Played in three tournaments as an unattached golfer, posting a 74.22 scoring average.
Spring: Competed in both of the Aztecs' home events ... Tied for 47th at the Barona Collegiate Cup with a combined 6-over 222, highlighted by a season-best 72 during the second round (Feb. 9-10) ... Landed in the 33rd spot at the Lamkin San Diego Classic after carding a 7-over 223 (March 9-10).
Fall: Made his collegiate debut at the Husky Invitational individual tournament, where tied for 24th at 10-over 223 (Sept. 22-23).
As A Junior Golfer
Took home medalist honors at the 2014 Bishops Golf Academy Junior in Medford, Ore., where he fired an 11-under 205, including a final-round 70 ... Clinched a spot in the 2013 U.S. Amateur after finishing third at the sectional qualifier in Woodland, Calif., with a collective score of 143 ... Also logged four top-10 performances earlier that year, highlighted by an individual title at the IBA Sacramento Junior Golf Classic, where he shot a combined 138 on rounds of 71-67 ... Posted a runner-up score at the of 146 at the Junior Tour of Northern California (JTNC) Summer Series III in Gilroy, Calif. ... Turned in a third-place effort at the Junior Golf Association of Northern California's (JGANC) Tournament of Champions in Napa, Calif., where he carded a 2-under 70 ... Tied for 10th at the San Diego Junior Masters with a 7-over 217 at Sycuan Resort ... Captured the NGCA Sacramento Valley match play title in 2012, following a third-place performance at the Sacramento Junior Easter Championship (147), which featured a tournament-low round of 71 over the final 18 holes ... Also competed at the 2012 California State Amateur in Santa Barbara, where he fired a 153 (74-79) during stroke play.
As A Prep
Graduated in 2014 from Rocklin High School ... Garnered first-team all-Sierra Foothill League accolades on three occasions and served as team captain ... Also played football for three seasons at Rocklin, earning defensive player of the year honors as a member of the freshman squad.
