High School: Prepped at St. Augustine High in San Diego where he was a four-year varsity team member... Led the Saints to three Western League titles and one second-place finish during his junior season... That year, despite not finishing atop the league, his team captured regional and state titles... Individually, he earned all-league honors all four years and was all-CIF following his sophomore campaign... His average of 36 for nine holes was the third best on the squad in 2003... In 2004 and 2005, he ranked second on the team with averages of 35.7 and 35.0, respectively... Was rated as the No. 1 junior player in Mexico in 2004 and 2006... Played on the Mexican national team (2004) that finished first and took home the National of Champions-Mexico crown in 2005... Participated in the Toyota Junior World Cup twice and finished eighth and 25th in 2004 and 2006, respectively... At the Negra Modelo Pro Tournament in Tijuana, he came in 10th... In 2003, he became the youngest amateur in Mexican golf history at age 15 to qualify for the Mexican Open after shooting a 4-under 140.
