2005-06 Season
Fall: Appeared in one tournament, competing for the SDSU Black team at the Barona Collegiate Cup.
Spring: Played in two varsity tournaments... Shot an opening-round 72 at the Oregon Duck Invitational, finishing in a tie for 47th... Also saw action at the Callaway Golf Invitational... Carded a season-best 224 at the Pala Mesa Drake Invitational as a member of the junior varsity squad... Fired a collegiate-best 71 during the second round.
2004-05 Season
Fall: Competed in three events as a member of the junior varsity team... Shot a season-low 72 on the first day of The Gold Rush... Duplicated his feat three weeks later during the opening round of the Fresno State Lexus Collegiate Classic... Was one of four scholar-athletes on the Aztec men[apos]s golf team.
Spring: Did not see any varsity action.
2003-04 Season
Fall: Made his collegiate debut with the SDSU Red Team at the Barona Collegiate Cup and shot a 235.
Spring: Competed in three events during the spring season... Came in 14th, an Aztec career best, at the CSU San Marcos Invitational... Ended the season with two top-25 finishes and a 75.50 stroke average.
High School: Earned four varsity letters for coach Steve Armstrong at La Costa Canyon High School.
Personal: Jason Kyle Puterbaugh was born May 25, 1983, in San Diego, Calif.... Son of Kip and PJ Puterbaugh... Father, Kip, is a professional golf instructor... Younger brother, Jamie, is also a member of the Aztec golf team... Majoring in business administration at SDSU.
