A graduate of Teikyo Nagaoka High in Niigata, Japan… In his junior year he averaged 31 points and 18 rebounds and led his team to the 2016 Okinawa Cup, Japan's High School National Championships… He as named the Most Valuable Player of the Okinawa Cup after leading the tournament in points and rebounds… Once reportedly scored 101 points in a single game as well as a 51-point effort in the 2016 Niigata Tournament and then tallied 61 points in a game at the Okinawa Cup.
