As A Junior (2013-14 Season)
Mountain West Sixth Man of the Year... MW all-tournament selection... Enjoyed a career year, averaging career highs in points (8.5), rebounds (3.3), steals (36), blocked shots (17), field goals (100), field-goal percentage (.472), three-point field goals (36), three-point field-goal percentage (.391), free throws (45) and free-throw percentage (.750)... Ranked first on the team in three-point field-goal percentage and third in scoring and three-point field goals made... Had 13 double-figure scoring games, which led all SDSU reserves, and one double-double... Led the team in team scoring three times and in rebounding twice... Ended the season by scoring in double-figures a career-high five straight games (15.0 ppg), grabbing at least one rebound in 15 consecutive outings and logged at least 15 minutes 13 games in a row... Increased his production the final 16 games of the season as he averaged 10.8 points on 50.0-percent shooting and 45.1 percent from three-point range... In those 16 games, he led the team in three-point field goals (23) and shared the lead in steals (23), and had 11 games with at least nine points... In his first 17 games of the season, he reached the nine-point plateau just nine times... In the postseason (MW tournament, NCAAs), he averaged 14.0 points on 51.0-percent shooting and connected on 13 of his 24 three-point attempts (.542)... Scored in double figures in back-to-back games (at Wyoming, vs. Air Force) for the first time since his first two collegiate games while at St. John's in 2010-11... Posted his first career double-double with a career-high 19 points and personal-best 12 rebounds in only 20 minutes vs. St. Katherine (12-27-13)... Set a career-high with four blocked shots vs. UNLV (1-18-14)... Nailed the game-winning three-pointer with 4.2 seconds left at Boise State (2-5-14) and ultimately finished with nine points, one rebound, one assist, a game-high two blocked shots and a steal... Posted 15 points, on a career-high three three-pointers, five rebounds and two steals in only 20 minutes at Wyoming (2-11-14)... Played the top position of the 1-3-1 against No. 21/21 New Mexico (3-8-14) and racked up a career-high four steals, while adding four points and four rebounds, to help clinch the outright MW regular-season championship... Had nine points, three rebounds and a career-high three assists vs. Utah State (3-13-14) in the MW quarterfinals (3-13-14)... Made a career-high three three-pointers, went 7-for-8 from the charity stripe to finish with a game-high 18 points off the bench, while also recording a game-high three steals at UNLV in the MW semifinals (3-14-14)... Made another three three-pointers en route to 14 points vs. No. 20/20 New Mexico (3-15-14) in the finals of the MW Championship... Produced 15 points and six rebounds off the bench vs. New Mexico State (3-20-14) in the second round of the NCAA tournament... Played a season-high 30 minutes and posted 15 points and six boards vs. North Dakota State (3-22-14) in the third round of the NCAA tournament... Finished the season by equaling his career high with a trio of three-pointers in en route to 13 points vs. No. 4/5 Arizona (3-27-14) in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA tournament.
As A Sophomore (2012-13 Season)
Played in 26 games in his first season at SDSU... Averaged 2.8 points and 1.9 rebounds in 9.4 minutes... Reached double-figures in scoring twice with SDSU winning both of those games... Was named preseason MW Co-Newcomer of the Year... Finished with eight points, after making a personal-record four free throws, and a season-high six rebounds vs. San Diego Christian (11-13-12)... Scored 10 points on 3-of-4 shooting and 4-of-4 from the free-throw line vs. Texas Southern (12-3-12)... Matched his career high with four free-throws (4-4) vs. UC Santa Barbara (12-6-12)... Scored a career-high 16 points on a career-high six field goals and a trio of three-pointers, and pulled down five rebounds in 18 minutes off the bench vs. Wyoming (2-19-13).
As A Redshirt (2011-12 Season)
Sat out after transferring from St. John's prior to 2011-12... Practiced with the squad the entire campaign.
As A Freshman at St. John's (2010-11 Season)
Played in all 33 games, while making 27 starts... The Red Storm finished with a 21-12 record (12-6 BIG EAST)... He was one of five players to appear in every game... His 27 starts were the fourth most on the squad... Averaged 4.4 points and 2.5 rebounds in 14.9 minutes... Shot 45.6 percent, which was the fifth-highest mark on the team... Blocked 15 shots, the second-most on the team... His minutes (15.1) and shooting percentage (.476) increased during league play... Led the team in scoring and rebounding once... Started the season opener at Saint Mary's (11-16-10) and scored a career-high 16 points on a personal-best six field goals... Had 10 points and a career-high nine rebounds vs. Columbia (11-17-10)... Blocked a career-high three shots at West Virginia (12-29-10)... In a career-high 31 minutes at Notre Dame (1-8-11), he had 12 points and six rebounds... Against DePaul (2-23-11), matched his personal-best with three blocked shots, while adding eight points and four rebounds... In the second round of the NCAA tournament vs. Gonzaga (3-17-11), had 12 points, a career-high four free throws, three rebounds, a personal-high three assists and a career-best three steals.
High School
Attended Westchester High and played for coach Ed Azzam, who coached SDSU's all-time scoring leader Brandon Heath... Was the State and L.A. City Player of the Year after guiding the Comets to a 32-3 record and their second consecutive Division I title... Rated a top-30 prospect after averaging 20.9 points, 9.8 rebounds and 2.0 blocks as a senior... Father was the 1981 L.A. High School Player of the Year, which made the duo just the second-such tandem to accomplish the feat in L.A.
