Was the recipient of the team’s John Simcox Memorial Trophy for the offensive player of the year, the first quarterback to win the prestigious award since current Minnesota Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell in 2007 ... The 206.14 pass efficiency rating was the highest allowed by San José State since a 245.7 mark against San Diego State on Nov. 4, 2017 ... Has been named as “SDSU’s top incoming transfer” by College Football News ... Played in one game at quarterback but was on the travel squad all season ... Made the most of his 18 offensive snaps in two drives late against Utah State in the Mountain West Championship game on Dec. 4, going 5-for-6 for 50 yards and a touchdown on his lone drive ... Also rushed for 36 yards on four attempts (9.0 avg.) with a long run of 33 yards.

AT MISSISSIPPI STATE (2018-19)
Appeared in three games as a true freshman for the Bulldogs during the 2018 season, completing 1 of 2 passes for nine yards ... Also rushed seven times for 32 yards (4.6 avg.) with a long of 14 ... Did not play in 2019

Prior to Mississippi State, prepped at Sachse High School in Sachse, Texas ... Led the Mustangs to the third round of the 2017 University Interscholastic League State Championships and a 12-1 record, a year after Sachse HS was 11-1 record and an appearance in the state playoffs ... Invited to ESPN’s Elite 11 Camp and was a finalist for the Under Armour Quarterback of the Year as a junior ... Also was a finalist for Texas Class 6A Offensive Player of the Year as a junior ... Led the U.S. National Team to a 26-0 victory over Canada in the first-ever North American Championship following his senior season ...
