Ranked in a tie for fourth in the Mountain West in forced fumbles (2, T-53rd in FBS) and a tie for sixth in forced fumbles per game (0.17) ... On special teams, tied for second in the Mountain West in blocked kicks (1, T-16th in FBS) and tied for fifth blocked kicks per game (0.08, T-48th in FBS) ... Had a solid game in the opener against Arizona, recording five tackles, including a 3-yard tackle for loss, and his first forced fumble and fumble recovery ... The turnover led to SDSU’s first touchdown inside Snapdragon Stadium, an 11-yard pass from Braxton Burmeister to Tyrell Shavers on a fourth-and-goal situation from the 3 ... Started nine games at boundary warrior and played in 10 of 14, missing the final four with an injury ... Had 39 tackles (25 solo) with two tackles for a loss, three pass breakups and a quarterback hurry ... Made his first career start at safety and fifth overall in the opener against New Mexico State on Sept. 4, recording three tackles (one solo), including 0.5 tackles for loss and a quarterback hurry ... Was one of only two Aztecs on defense to play all 85 snaps (also Patrick McMorris) ... Made four tackles (three solo) with a 1-yard tackle for loss and a pass breakup at Arizona on Sept. 11, playing all 58 snaps ... Came up with a then career-high six tackles (four solo) in a start against Utah on Sept. 18, adding 0.5 tackles for loss and a pass breakup ... Played every snap (93) for the third straight game ... Had four stops (three solo) and a pass breakup while playing all 60 snaps against Towson on Sept. 25 ... Came up with a solo tackle in 59 snaps in a start against New Mexico on Oct. 9 ... SOPHOMORE SEASON (2020)
Started four games at boundary cornerback and played in seven of eight, registering 13 tackles (nine solo), including two tackles for loss, and a pass breakup  ... Started for the first time of his career against UNLV on Oct. 24, coming up with four stops (three solo), two tackles for loss and a pass breakup ... Started for the second straight game at Utah State on Oct. 31, recording four tackles (three solo) ... Earned a third straight start at San José State on Nov. 6, recording four tackles (three solo) ... Started again against Hawai’i on Nov. 14 without recording a stat ... Came off the bench for the first time of the season at Nevada on Nov. 21, making one assisted stop ... Played on special teams at Colorado on Nov. 28 without recording a stat ... Did not play against Colorado State on Dec. 5 for the first time of the season ... Logged statless times on special teams at No. 14/16 Brigham Young.

FRESHMAN SEASON (2019)
Played in nine games on the season, mostly on special teams ... Finished with one pass breakup ... Made his collegiate debut on special teams at UCLA on Sept. 7 ... Also played on special teams at New Mexico State, vs. Utah State, at Colorado State, vs. Wyoming, at San Jose State, at UNLV, vs. Brigham Young and against Central Michigan in the New Mexico Bowl ... Played snaps late in the bowl game, nearly coming up with an interception, but settling for a pass breakup ... Did not play in the opener vs. Weber State, and in games vs. Nevada, vs. Fresno State and at Hawai’i.

HIGH SCHOOL
A three-year letter winner at El Dorado High School in El Paso, Texas ... Played on four district championship teams ... Played a bit of everything at El Dorado HS, including quarterback, wide receiver, cornerback, kick returner, punt returner and punter ... According to MaxPreps, was 369-for-602 (61.3 pct.) over his three seasons at quarterback for 59 touchdowns against just eight interceptions, while rushing for 3,760 yards and 58 touchdowns on 358 attempts (10.5 avg.) ... Threw for 2,220 yards and 23 touchdowns in 2017, and rushed for 1,668 yards and 28 touchdowns on 166 carries (10.0 avg.) ... In 2016, threw for 3,069 yards and 33 touchdowns, and rushed for 1,582 yards and 22 scores on 134 attempts (11.8 avg.) ... Was a second-team all-state selection, a two-time 6A MVP and the El Paso Times MVP ... A three-star recruit by both Rivals and 247sports ... Also lettered on the basketball team and track and field team ... Made the all-defensive team in basketball ... Was all-region choir and an all-academic pick in both football and basketball.
