Bio entering the 2021 season
Matt Razzano begins his fifth season with the San Diego State football program and second overseeing the Aztecs’ recruiting efforts.
Under Razzano’s direction, SDSU’s 2021 recruiting class was ranked No. 1 in the Mountain West, according to 247Sports.
Born in Fremont, California, Razzano prepped at Roseville (Calif.) High School, where he lettered in both football and baseball. On the gridiron, he twice garnered all-Sierra Foothill League accolades as a running back, meriting first-team honors during his senior campaign in 2013.
Razzano’s father, David, works for the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders as director of football research after serving as a scout for several teams, including the San Francisco 49ers, St. Louis Rams, Arizona Cardinals and Indianapolis Colts.
Razzano earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from San Diego State in May 2018.
