Played three seasons at nearby Mira Mesa High School … According to MaxPreps, as a dual-threat quarterback, was 314-for-536 for 4,589 yards and 40 touchdowns against just 11 interceptions, while running for 1,891 yards and 23 touchdowns on 281 carries (6.7 avg.) … Best season statistically in 2018, where he led the Marauders to a 10-3 overall record, going 111-for-176 (63.1 pct.) for 1,865 yards and 20 touchdowns with just one interception … Also rushed for 966 yards and 15 touchdowns on 176 carries (5.5 avg.) … A three-star recruit by 247sports as a dual-threat quarterback with a scout grade of 81, and a two-star dual-threat quarterback by Rivals ...
