Joined the Aztecs in January in the 2017 signing class out of American River College ... Athletic on the edge, who played immediately.

SENIOR SEASON (2018)
Started the team’s 13 games this season, making 43 tackles (24 solo), eight tackles for loss, a 3-yard sack, a pass breakup and four quarterback hurries ... The eight tackles for loss were the second most on the team ... Was a captain in two games ... Earned his first career start in the opener at No. 13/13 Stanford, recording two tackles with a pass breakup ... Started once again vs. Sacramento State in a captain’s role, finishing with two solo stops, including a 3-yard sack (and TFL) ... Registered three stops (two solo) against No. 23/25 Arizona State, including one tackle for loss and a quarterback hurry ... Had a monster game vs. Eastern Michigan as a captain, leading the team for the first time of his career with a career- and game-high 10 tackles ... Entered the game with seven tackles through the first three games ... The 10 stops were the most by an Aztec defensive lineman since Sergio Phillips had 10 against Wyoming in the 2016 Mountain West Championship game (Dec. 3) ... Made four tackles (three solo) with a career-high two tackles for loss in a start at rv/No. 24 Boise State ... Had three stops (two solo) with a tackle for loss in a start against Air Force ... Made two assisted stops with 0.5 tackles for loss vs. San José State ... Had two tackles (one solo) with a quarterback hurry in a start at Nevada ... Came up with a solo stop in a start at New Mexico ... Had five tackles (three solo) in a starting role vs. UNLV ... Registered three tackles (two solo) with a 4-yard tackle for loss and a quarterback hurry in a start at Fresno State ... Started vs. Hawai’i on Senior Night, making three tackles (two solo) with 1.5 tackles for five yards of loss ... Ended his collegiate career with three tackles in a start vs. Ohio in the DXL Frisco Bowl.

JUNIOR SEASON (2017)
Played in all 13 games off the bench ... Had 12 tackles (six solo) with 1.5 tackles for loss, a 21-yard interception, 0.5 sacks and a quarterback hurry ... Played in his first collegiate game against UC Davis, but did not record a stat ... Also played statless time at Arizona State ... Registered his first career tackle (an assisted one) against No. 19/19 Stanford, which went down as a half sack (and half TFL) for three yards ... Made two stops (both solo) with an 8-yard tackle for loss at Air Force ... Had an assisted stop against Northern Illinois ... Registered two tackles (one solo) in 17 snaps at UNLV ... Did not find the stat sheet against Boise State or vs. Fresno State ... Made a solo stop at Hawai'i ... Had an assisted tackle at San Jose State ... Registered two tackles vs. Nevada ... Came up with one assisted tackle and a quarterback hurry against New Mexico ... Had a solo tackle and his first career interception, which went for 21 yards, off the bench against Army West Point in the Armed Forces Bowl.  

AT AMERICAN RIVER (2015-16)
Played two years at American River College in Sacramento, Calif. ...  Had 75 stops in 2016, adding 5.5 sacks and 17 tackles for loss en route to earning first-team All-American, all-state and all-conference honors ... Totaled 43 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 12 tackles for loss, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, an interception and three pass breakups in 11 games in 2015  ... Was a three-star recruit by 247sports and Scout out of American River College, and a two-star recruit by Rivals ... Received a scouting grade of 83 by 247sports, and was ranked as the 12th-best strong-side defensive end from the 2017 recruiting class

HIGH SCHOOL
Played both defensive line and running back at Woodcreek High School in Roseville, Calif., where he was a three-time letterwinner ... Also competed on the wrestling team at Woodcreek HS.

Anthony Luke was born Nov. 11, 1996, in Carmichael, Calif. ... Son of Tony and Renee Luke ... Picked the Aztecs out of American River over other offers from Utah, Iowa State, Toledo, New Mexico, Florida Atlantic, Buffalo, San Jose State and Youngstown State ... Majored in social science.
