Physical tight end with a good football IQ ... Excellent blocker who plays bigger than his 6-3 frame ... Was on the two-deep most of his true freshman year in 2016 behind second-team all-conference pick David Wells, but did start four times and seven times in 2017 ... Was named a second-team all-Mountain West selection as voted on by the league’s coaches and media ... Was one of 185 semifinalists (71 in FBS) for the 2019 William V. Campbell Trophy, which recognizes an individual as the absolute best football scholar-athlete in the nation for his combined academic success, football performance and exemplary leadership ... Made a catch against No. 23/25 Arizona State in another start, which went for 11 yards ... Caught two passes for a career-high 34 yards and a career-long 25-yard touchdown catch in a start vs. Eastern Michigan ... Recorded his first touchdown catch of the season, which put SDSU up, 10-3, and first since Nov. 19, 2016 at Wyoming ... The two receptions matched a career high ... Had a 4-yard catch in a start at rv/No. 24 Boise State ... Started again vs. Air Force, making two catches for a career-high 37 yards, including a 29-yard touchdown ... Earned his fifth start of the season at San Jose State, but did not register a stat ... Tied a career high with two catches for 17 yards (8.5 avg.) with a long of 11 yards in a start vs. Nevada ... FRESHMAN (TRUE) SEASON (2016)
Was one of two players to be named the team's outstanding freshman ... Played in each of his final 10 games with four starts, making five catches for 32 yards (6.4 avg.) and a touchdown with a long of 14 yards, while handling short snapping duties on PATs and field goals ... Did not play in the opener vs. New Hampshire or the following week against California ... Did not see any action at Northern Illinois or at South Alabama, but was on the travel squad ... Logged his first career collegiate snaps against UNLV, mainly on special teams, but a little in offensive situations ... Was the team's short snapper on PATs and field goals as well ... Earned his first career start at tight end at Fresno State, making his first career catch - a 14-yarder ... Played again off the bench against San Jose State without finding the stat sheet ... Had a 5-yard grab in his second career start at Utah State ... Made another start vs. Hawai'i, but did not record a stat ... Came off the bench in front of his hometown crowd at Nevada, but did not find the stat sheet ... Had a career-high two catches for eight yards (4.0 avg.) at Wyoming, including a 3-yard touchdown ... The touchdown was the first of his career and came with no time left in the first half, giving SDSU a 17-10 lead ... Played off the bench vs. Colorado State, but did not find the stat sheet ... A two-year letter winner at Edward C. Reed High School in Sparks, Nev. ... Led the Raiders  to a 24-5 (.828) record over his two seasons, including a 9-1 (.900) mark in league play ...  Helped the Raiders capture a regional championship in 2015 (13-1, 5-0 league) and finish  with their first regular season undefeated team since 1983 ... Caught 42 passes for 377 yards  and six touchdowns as a senior and 40 catches for 525 yards and 10 touchdowns as a junior  ... Added 20 tackles on defense as a senior ... Was a two-time first-team all-league and all-region  selection ... Also was a two-time all-state pick, including one first-team nod ...
