SENIOR SEASON (2016)
Was a honorable-mention all-Mountain West performer ... Was named a preseason first-team all-Mountain West selection by Lindy's Sports, a second-team pick by Athlon Sports and a third-team honoree by Phil Steele's 2016 College Football Preview ... Had 49 tackles (21 solo), including 7.5 tackles for loss, six sacks for 38 yards, a fumble recovery, a pass breakup and 12 quarterback hurries in 14 starts on the season ... Started for the third straight game and third time overall in the opener against New Hampshire, coming up with two tackles and a 5-yard sack (and TFL) ... Made three stops with 1.5 TFL for six yards vs. California ... Also added a QBH ... Came up with three tackles (two solo) at Northern Illinois ... Had three stops (one solo) with a 6-yard sack (and TFL) in another start at South Alabama ... Registered four tackles (three solo) against UNLV, while adding a quarterback hurry ... Had a big game at Wyoming in the MW Championship, registering five tackles, including two sacks (and tackles for loss) for 14 yards, a fumble recovery and a quarterback hurry ... The fumble recovery was the first of his career ... His final sack for five yards late in the fourth quarter came on fourth down and allowed SDSU to kneel down for the victory ... JUNIOR SEASON (2015)
Played in the team's only 14 games with two starts, collecting 24 tackles (15 solo) with nine tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, a pass breakup, a forced fumble, a blocked kick and eight quarterback hurries ... Led the team in quarterback hurries and ranked second in sacks despite starting only the final two games ... Logged his first snaps in a reserve role against San Diego, making two tackles (one solo) ... Recorded two tackles (one solo) with 0.5 tackles for loss off the bench at California ... Had one tackle in a reserve role vs. South Alabama, while adding a pass breakup and a quarterback hurry ... Had a good game at Penn State, making a solo tackle - a 3-yard sack (and TFL) - and blocking a field goal attempt ... The sack and blocked field goal were the first of his career ... Played again off the pine against Fresno State, but did not record a stat for the first time of the year ... Did not record a stat at Hawai`i ... Also didn't find the stat sheet at San Jose State ... Had a solo tackle in a reserve role against Utah State ... Came up with an assisted tackle at Colorado State, which went down as a 1/2 tackle for loss ... Logged his most time of his Aztec career with Alex Barrett missing most of the game with a knee injury ... Had another good game off the bench vs. Nevada, making a solo tackle - a 4-yard sack (and TFL) - with his first career forced fumble, and a quarterback hurry ... Made his first career start against Air Force in the Mountain West Championship game, making three tackles (two solo) and recording the team's only quarterback hurry ... Had a huge game vs. Cincinnati in the Hawai`i Bowl, recording career highs of nine tackles (six solo), 3.5 sacks and 3.5 tackles for loss for 25 yards ... The 3.5 sacks set a Hawai`i Bowl record, were the most in a bowl game this season, were tied for the third most in a game in program history and were tied for the 10th most in a game in the country in 2015 ... The nine tackles also tied teammates Na'im McGee and Kameron Kelly for the most in the game ... For his efforts, he was named to the USA Today Sports All-Bowl Team and the Associated Press All-Bowl Team.
AT SADDLEBACK JC (2014)
Played in all 10 games at Saddleback College in 2014, registering 46 tackles (23), 9.5 sacks, 13 tackles for loss, a 34-yard fumble recovery, an interception and two pass breakups ... Was named to the all-California team by CCCFCA and the NCS League First Team.
AT ARIZONA (2012-13)
Was at Arizona from 2012-13, making two tackles (one solo) in 12 games in 2013 and redshirting the 2012 campaign.
