Hard-hitting safety who was recruited as an athlete ... Was one of only two true freshmen on the depth chart in 2015 on either side of the ball (also linebacker Ronley Lakalaka) ... Started 32 of the final 34 games at the signature Aztec spot in SDSU’s 3-3-5 defense (same position Brian Urlacher played under coach Rocky Long at New Mexico) ... Played in all 54 games since he arrived at SDSU in 2015, the most of any current Aztec ... His 54 straight games played were also the most on the team ... Also excelled on special teams ... SENIOR SEASON (2018)
Was named an honorable-mention all-Mountain West selection for a second straight season ... Was a preseason second-team all-Mountain West selection by Phil Steele Magazine and a fourth-team pick by Athlon Sports ... Started the team’s 13 games on the season, recording 103 tackles (60 solo), four tackles for loss, two interceptions, a fumble recovery and six pass breakups ... Was second on the team with 103 tackles, 43 more than No. 3 on the team ... Was a team captain in six games this year ... Started the opener at No. 13/13 Stanford and finished with 11 tackles, including a 1-yard tackle for loss ... The 11 tackles tied teammate Kyahva Tezino for the most in the game ... Was deemed the "No. 20 Safety in FBS" by College Football News and the "Best Athlete in the MW" by Street & Smith's ... Had 75 tackles (37 solo), 0.5 tackles for loss, an interception and two pass breakups in 13 games ... Started the first eight, but was battling a knee injury late and played just one snap on special teams at Hawai'i before returning to start once again at San Jose State, vs. Nevada and against New Mexico ... Came off the bench vs. Army West Point in the Armed Forces Bowl as SDSU went with four linebackers on defense ... Ranked third on the team in tackles (66), despite playing the first five games off the bench ... Was the only player on the team with a forced fumble and a fumble recovery ... Made one assisted tackle vs. New Hampshire ... Had two solo tackles and a forced fumble against California ... Had a career game at Northern Illinois with Na'im McGee exiting with an injury late in the second quarter ... Had a then career-high eight tackles (seven solo) with his first career tackle for loss vs. the Huskies ... Did not record a stat in time at South Alabama ... Had three tackles (two solo), including 0.5 tackles for loss, and a pass breakup in extensive action vs. UNLV ... Earned his first career start at Fresno State and made four tackles ... Was named the team's Freshman of the Year at the season-ending banquet ... Played in all 14 games on the season, mainly on special teams ... Has 14 tackles (eight solo), a forced fumble and a 28-yard interception ... Ranked second on the team in special teams tackles (10) and tied for second in punt return tackles (3) ... Was the only true freshman to see action in the opener vs. San Diego, logging time mainly on special teams - kickoff, punt and punt return - but also seeing time late in the secondary ... Recorded one solo tackle from the Aztec spot ... Had an assisted tackle on special teams at Cal ...Came up with an assisted stop on special teams vs. South Alabama ... Had three tackles (all solo stops) at Penn State ... All three tackles came on special teams ... Saw time once again vs. Fresno State, but did not record a stat ... HIGH SCHOOL
Combined for 893 yards receiving and rushing at Siloam Springs High School in Siloam Springs, Ark., as a senior in 2014, while making 134 tackles on defense ... Finished with 35 catches for 758 yards (21.7 avg.) and 11 carries for 135 yards (12.3 avg.), combining for eight touchdowns ... Was named an all-state player in Arkansas as a senior ... Helped the Panthers to the playoffs all three seasons ... A two-star recruit by Rivals.com ... Also was a state champion in the 200-meter dash.
