Athletic, mobile defensive lineman who redshirted the 2015 campaign, adding weight and bulk to his frame ... Had 36 career starts, including 27 at defensive tackle (three in 2015, 14 in 2016 and 10 in 2018) and nine at defensive end (in 2017) ... Previously known as Eric Burrell, but legally changed his name to honor his father, who was shot and killed before he was born.

Played in 12 games with nine starts at defensive end, making 39 tackles (24 solo), including 8.5 tackles for a loss of 45 yards, 3.5 sacks for 27 yards, two forced fumbles and four quarterback hurries ... Started the opener for the 15th straight game and 18th time overall, logging four tackles (three solo) and two tackles for loss ... Tied a then career high in both tackles (4) and TFL (2.0) with his four overall stops also tying for the most on the team ... All four stops came on rushing plays ... Also added a quarterback hurry ... Was named the MW Defensive Player of the Week for his play at Arizona State, when he set career highs in every category against the Sun Devils, registering five tackles (four solo), 1.5 sacks for 13 yards, 2.5 tackles for loss for 20 yards and two forced fumbles ...
