  • Physical, athletic body, who made the move from linebacker to defensive line in the spring of 2014 ... Worked up to the backup spot at right defensive end after spring drills, where he remained over the 2014 season and in 2015 ... Then moved to fullback in the 2016 fall camp, where he started the first three games, before moving back to defensive line at South Alabama ... Was listed as the starting right defensive end heading into the 2017 campaign, but suffered severe damage to his knee in the fall scrimmage on Aug. 19 ... Returned to play Sept. 30 vs. Northern Illinois despite being thought lost for the season.

    SENIOR SEASON (2017)
    Was named the team's Defensive Lineman of the Year ... Played in nine games with five starts, making 14 tackles (five solo), including 1.5 tackles for loss, a 7-yard sack, a fumble recovery and a pass breakup ... Missed the first four games of the season - vs. UC Davis, at Arizona State, vs. No. 19/19 Stanford and at Air Force - with a knee injury, suffered at the team's fall scrimmage on Aug. 19 ... Made his return against Northern Illinois and had two tackles (one solo) in 36 snaps (according to Pro Football Focus) ... Had two tackles (one solo), including a 7-yard sack (and TFL) in 11 snaps at UNLV ... Did not record a stat in playing time against Boise State and vs. Fresno State ... Had arguably the best game of his career vs. South Alabama, setting career highs in tackles (six) and tackles for loss (2.0) ... Came up with an assisted tackle at Penn State in a reserve role ... Made two tackles - both solo and for a loss - vs. Fresno State ... The two tackles for loss matched a career best ... Logged snaps at Hawai`i, including time on special teams, before injuring his left knee and being forced to miss the rest of the season ...
