Originally a defensive end in high school, who moved to linebacker when he arrived at SDSU, before moving back to defensive end prior to fall camp ... A former basketball player, who is quick and strong with long arms.

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2015)
Played in only one game on the season, missing time with a violation of team rules and personal reasons ... Lone appearance came at San José State off the bench, where he did not record a stat.

FRESHMAN SEASON (2014)
Played in the team's 13 games ... Had six tackles (five solo), including 2.5 tackles for loss for 20 yards, two sacks for 19 yards and a quarterback hurry ... The two sacks were tied for fifth on the team ... Played in his first career game in the opener vs. Northern Arizona off the bench ... Had a good all-around day with four tackles (three solo), 1.5 tackles for loss and a 7-yard sack ... Saw time off the bench at No. 21/23 North Carolina without finding the stat sheet ... Had another good game off the bench at Oregon State with two solo tackles, including a 12-yard sack (and TFL) ... Saw time each of the final eight games - against UNLV, at Fresno State, at New Mexico, vs. Hawai`i, at Nevada, vs. Idaho, at Boise State, vs. Air Force, vs. San José State and vs. Navy in the Poinsettia Bowl - without recording a stat.

Utilized his redshirt season, where he was named the team's defensive co-scout player of the year.

HIGH SCHOOL
Also played tight end at local Lincoln High School ... Had 81 tackles, 10.5 sacks, four forced fumbles and one fumble recovery as a senior, helping the Hornets to a 10-3 record and a San Diego Section CIF Division III championship ... This was a year after Lincoln was 2-9-1 ... A three-star recruit by Rivals.com and 247Sports.com ... Received agrade of 88 by 247Sports, and was rated as the 25th-best weakside defensive end in thenation and 61st-best recruit overall in California ...
