Played in each of the first seven games off the bench, making impact plays in almost every contest, before missing the New Mexico game with concussion-like symptoms ... Returned for San Jose State and played every game the rest of the year ... Had 41 tackles (28 solo), four forced fumbles, 3.0 TFL, two pass breakups, an interception, a sack and a blocked kick ... Led the MW and was tied for 10th (first among freshmen) in the nation in forced fumbles per game (0.33) (four total) ... Donnel Pumphrey then followed with a 34-yard touchdown run, bringing the Aztecs to within three points at 23-20 ... Made three stops (two solo) with a forced fumble at Hawai'i ... Came up with two tackles (both solo), a tackle for loss and a pass breakup vs. Boise State ... Had two solo stops off the bench in the team's loss at UNLV ...
