Big tight end who showed drastic improvement since arriving in 2015 ... Put on 30 pounds since arriving on campus ... Missed the final 10 games of the 2016 season with a foot injury ... Was a preseason fourth-team all-Mountain West selection by Athlon Sports and Phil Steele Magazine ... Played in 12 games on the season with two starts ... Had a team-high 31 catches for 372 yards (12.0 avg.) with a team-high-tying three touchdown catches and a long of 30 yards ... Also had a special teams tackle ... Came off the bench against No. 13/13 Stanford in the opener for 19 snaps, but did not find the shat sheet ... Played for the first time of his career in the opener against New Hampshire, but did not make the stat sheet ... Logged statless time once again vs. California ... Caught his first career pass at Northern Illinois, which was a 5-yard touchdown catch on 4th and 2 to put SDSU up, 21-0, early in the second quarter ... Caught a 12-yard touchdown pass to put SDSU up, 24-21, at South Alabama ... It was his second straight game with a catch (and touchdown catch) ... Did not play against UNLV after injuring his foot in practice during the week ... Also missed the rest of the season with the injury.

Redshirted his first season at SDSU.  

HIGH SCHOOL
Played just one year of football at Sonora High in Sonora , Calif. ... Earned all-league accolades in his one season, catching 21 balls for 548 yards (26.1 avg.), according to MaxPreps ... Helped the Wildcats to an 11-2 record, including a perfect 6-0 league mark ... Also excelled in basketball, averaging 19.6 points and 10.8 rebounds as a senior, earning the league's MVP award ... Was also an all-conference pick in water polo ... Previously played tennis, and was a member of the cross country and swimming teams.
