Also had eight rush attempts for seven yards (0.9 avg.) with a long of five yards ... If you take away the two times he was sacked for seven yards, he rushed six times for 14 yards (2.3 avg.) ... Played three seasons at nearby Helix High School in La Mesa, the same high school as fellow 2018 recruit Rashad Scott and 2019 signee Michael Shawcroft ... Helped the Highlanders to a 34-7 (.829) record over the three years, including a state championship appearance and 13-2 record in 2017 ... Was 368-for-546 (67.3 pct.) for 5,544 yards, throwing for 62 touchdowns against just eight interceptions (according to MaxPreps) ...
