2019-21 Ohio Valley Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll (Eastern Kentucky)
2022 SEASON (As A Redshirt Junior): Made seven relief appearances in his first year on The Mesa after transferring from Eastern Kentucky … Struck out eight batters in 9 2/3 innings while posting a 6.52 ERA … Made his Aztec debut in a midweek contest at San Diego, offsetting one walk with a strikeout in one scoreless inning (4-12-22) … Matched his season best with three strikeouts in consecutive outings at Fresno State (4-30-22) and vs. UC San Diego (5-3-22) … Tossed a season-long 2 1/3 innings in that latter contest against the Tritons
2021 SEASON (As A Redshirt Sophomore at Eastern Kentucky): Appeared in two games as a reliever late in the season, posting two earned runs, two walks and a pair strikeouts in a combined 1.1 innings … Did not allow a hit … Fanned two batters in one scoreless inning at Murray State (4-24-21) … Also took the mound in the second game of a doubleheader vs. Tennessee Tech (5-1-21) … Earned a spot on the Ohio Valley Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll for the third year in a row.
2020 SEASON (As A Sophomore at Eastern Kentucky): Pitched four games with one start in a season that was shortened due to the COVID-19 pandemic … Posted a 2-0 record with a 4.22 ERA and 12 strikeouts in 10.2 innings … Allowed two unearned runs at No. 11 LSU while striking out four batters (2-23-20) … Recorded his first career victory in a start vs. Siena College, notching a career-high six strikeouts in 3.1 innings of a doubleheader nightcap (3-1-21) … Emerged triumphant in his next outing against Norfolk State, countering one hit and one walk with a strikeout in 1.2 innings of work as the Colonels rolled to a 13-7 decision (3-8-21) … Was once again named to the Ohio Valley Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
2019 SEASON (As A Freshman At Eastern Kentucky): Made 12 appearances with one start in his collegiate debut, posting an 0-2 record with a 4.80 ERA and 12 strikeouts in 15.0 innings of work … Earned his first career start at No. 8 Louisville, where he allowed one earned run in 2.0 innings with a pair of strikeouts (2-19-19) … Recorded season highs for four strikeouts and 3.1 innings pitched vs. Western Carolina (5-14-19) ... Landed on the Ohio Valley Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
PRIOR TO COLLEGE: Played three years at Hillgrove High School in his hometown of Powder Springs, Georgia … Helped the Hawks capture three straight Region 7A championships … Listed as a top 500 national recruit by Perfect Game and was ranked 49th among right-handed pitchers in the state of Georgia for the class of 2018 … Received Perfect Game All-America honorable mention for the Southeast Region in 2018 … Also merited Perfect Game Underclass All-America honorable mention in 2017 preseason … Was named to numerous all-tournament teams on the Perfect Game championship circuit, including the 2017 WWBA World Championship in Jupiter, Florida, playing for the Royals scout team … Earned an invitation to the 2016 National Underclass Showcase event in Fort Myers, Florida, as well as the 2016 Southeast Underclass Showcase in Cartersville, Georgia.
PERSONAL: Parents are Troy Jackson and Kimberly Shaw … His father played college basketball at George Mason University … His mother also competed for the women’s basketball team at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
