2021 SEASON (As A Freshman): Made six appearances in his Aztec debut, pitching a combined 3.2 innings out of the bullpen with five strikeouts … Yielded six runs (three unearned) and issued five walks on the year but did not allow a hit … Fanned two batters in his first collegiate game at UC San Diego, where he tossed a season-long 1.2 innings in the opener of a doubleheader (2-28-21) … Also posted a pair of strikeouts in the second game of a twin bill at home vs. Nevada (4-10-21).

PRIOR TO COLLEGE: Won four varsity letters for nearby Valhalla High School … Combined for a 13-3 record with a 1.46 ERA and 216 strikeouts during his career, according to MaxPreps … Held opponents to a collective .146 batting average during that four-year span … Also batted .349 with 13 doubles, eight triples, 37 RBIs and 53 runs scored as a prep … His senior season was cut short after four mound appearances in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic … Garnered first-team all-CIF accolades in 2019 after helping the Norsemen capture the San Diego Section Division III championship and the Grossmont Valley League title … Posted a prep-best 114 strikeouts that season to go with a 5-2 record and a sparkling 0.95 ERA … Also hit a career-high .354 with eight doubles, 19 RBIs and 21 runs scored … Became the first GVC pitcher to throw two career no-hitters in 35 years after fanning 14 batters in a 2-0 triumph over Mount Miguel High during his junior campaign (3-23-19) … Accomplished the same feat the previous year as a sophomore in an 11-0 victory over West Hills High (5-10-18) … Helped Valhalla High claim the GVC crown in 2018 after recording a 7-1 mark on the hill with a 1.49 ERA and 68 strikeouts … Was listed as the 365th player nationally for the high school class of 2020 by Perfect Game and was ranked 51st overall in California … Received first-team preseason All-America recognition for the California region by Perfect Game … Played for the San Diego Show club program, earning all-tournament honors in several Perfect Game national championship events, including the 2019 PG 17U World Series in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he was named Most Valuable Pitcher.
