2018 (SOPHOMORE): Started the season as SDSU’s Friday night starter but battled through an injury-plagued sophomore season... Opened the 2018 season with a career-high eight strikeouts in just 3.2 innings of work against UC Santa Barbara... Did not make an appearance over 67 days after suffering an injury against Arizona on Feb. 23... Recorded back-to-back scoreless, hitless outings against San Jose State and Nevada on May 12 and May 17, respectively... Held opposing hitters to just a .188 batting average while striking out 27 in 19 innings pitched... 12.79 strikeouts per nine innings marked as the best average on the team... Opposing hitters went just 3-for-43 (.070) with the bases empty.

2017 (FRESHMAN): Recorded a 1.46 ERA in 12.1 innings pitched over nine relief appearances and one start… Held opposing batters to just a .128 batting average… Recorded a season-high five strikeouts in a three-inning appearance against Seton Hall on Feb 25. … Recorded a streak of 10 consecutive appearances from Feb. 25 – May 2 of not allowing an extra-base hit… Also did not allow a run over that streak… Recorded five appearances with at least one inning pitched and no hits allowed… Held opponents to a .056 batting average (1-for-18) with runners on base… Owned a .154 opponent batting average (2-for-13) with two outs… Finished third on the team with 9.49 strikeouts per nine innings… Did not allow a run over three appearances against Mountain West opponents… Owned a 0.81 ERA in the sixth inning and later of games.

HIGH SCHOOL: Won three varsity letters as a baseball player at Hamilton High School in Chandler, Ariz. ... Coached there by Mike Woods ... Team won state titles during his sophomore and senior campaigns ... As a senior went 2-0 with a 3.23 earned run average in four appearances ... Struck out 18 and walked five over 13 innings ... Batted .290 with 10 doubles and 24 RBI in 34 contests ... As a junior hit .299 with 5 doubles, four home runs and 23 RBI in 32 games ... Had a 5.25 earned run average over four mound appearances... Ranked as the fourth-best high school player in the state of Arizona by Perfect Game ... Competed for the Reds Area Code team during summer 2015 ... Also picked to play for the Diamondbacks Elite Scout Team and SACSN National team, which is a hand-selected team who’s criteria includes not only being a talented baseball player, but a person who serves the community and has displayed strong character off the field.
