After serving as SDSU's closer in 2015, made only one appearance on the mound in 2016, going one-third of an inning and allowing one hit to University of San Diego on Feb. 25 ... Made 26 starts at the catching spot where he played as a redshirt freshman during the 2014 season ... Suffered a concussion in the game vs. New Mexico on March 25 and made only one plate appearance over the ensuing three weeks ... Made his full return on April 19 and recorded a pair of singles and a walk in four plate appearances ... Tied his career best with three hits in the contest against Air Force on March 20 ... Scored personal-best two runs in a game on three occasions with the last time being vs. Air Force on May 14 ... Drew four walks in that contest vs. Air Force on May 14 ...
