That had been his last appearance until 1.2 innings of relief work against New Mexico on May 16 ... Season-high two strikeouts in games at UC Irvine on March 12 and vs. New Mexico on May 16 and May 25 ... Got the start in the Mountain West Tournament game vs. New Mexico on May 25, going 3.1 innings, his longest outing of the season.

SAN DIEGO STATE 2012
Moved between the bullpen and starting rotation with seven starts and eight relief appearances ... Had three starts of six innings duration vs. Washington, Cal State Northridge and Long Beach State ... No decision in any of those outings ... Season-high six strikeouts in season opener vs. Washington (Feb. 17) ... Recorded a save vs. Air Force on March 31 when he tossed the final 3.2 innings, allowing no runs on two hits with a strikeout and no walks ... Made starts in his first three appearances followed by nine relief stints prior to a start at UNLV late in the season ... Was named the Mountain West Conference Pitcher of the Week for his performance in that game against UNLV on May 21 ... Went 8.0 innings allowing no runs on two hits with three walks and four strikeouts ... Opened his collegiate career with an impressive start vs. Winthrop in the third game of the season ... Retired the first 15 batters he faced in that contest with only two hit balls leaving the infield (both fly outs to center field) ... He recorded the win with six full innings of work allowing the one run and one hit while striking out three and walking three ... Had his best performance since the opening weekend of the season with a stellar relief effort against Cal State Northridge on May 10 ... He entered the game in the second inning with two men on and no outs and went on to toss the next 7.2 innings, allowing a run on three hits with two walks and seven strikeouts ...
