Left-handed reliever the past two season who could move into the starting rotation in 2014 ... Competed for the Anchorage Glacier Pilots in the Alaska League during summer 2013 ... Compiled a record of 4-3 with a 2.65 earned run average... struck out 44 and walked only eight in 44 innings. .Played for the Pittsfield (Mass.) Suns of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League during the summer of 2012 ... Compiled a record of 4-4 with a 2.93 earned run average ... Recorded 55 strikeouts and walked only four over 61.1 innings pitched ... His 12 appearances included 10 starts and one complete-game effort ... For the three previous summers had competed as a member of the So Cal Dirtbags team ... Played for the Tampa Bay Rays scout team during summer of 2010.

SAN DIEGO STATE 2013
Named to the all-tourney team at the 2013 Mountain West Tournament ... Tossed 5.2 innings of relief and picked up the win in SDSU[apos]s 8-7 victory over 13th-ranked New Mexico on May 25 ... Had his most impressive relief outing as an Aztec in the loss at Santa Clara on Feb. 26 ... He entered that game in the bottom of the sixth with no outs and proceeded to toss the final three innings allowing no runs, no hits and no walks while striking out two ... Was named the Mountain West Pitcher of the Week for games played April 22-28 ... In the Aztecs[apos] 18-2 win over No. 21 UC Irvine on April 23 he allowed just one run on seven hits with one walk and four strikeouts while tossing 7.1 innings in a starting role ... In the Aztecs[apos] series finale against Fresno State on April 28, he entered the game in the eighth inning to get the third out with two Bulldog runners in scoring position, then struck out the first batter of the ninth to preserve a save situation for closer Bubba Derby in the 4-2 win ... His first three wins came in a starting role against Big West teams (Long Beach State, UC Riverside and UC Irvine).

SAN DIEGO STATE 2012
Appeared in 14 games as a freshman, all in a relief role ... Of his 14 relief stints, 11 were one inning or less ... Longest outing was 4.0 innings against New Mexico on April 14 ... Season-high three strikeouts came in one inning pitched vs. Air Force on March 30 ... Picked up the win in SDSU[apos]s victory over Milwaukee when he allowed no runs and no hits with one strikeout in 1.1 innings of work ... Did not have a wild pitch in his 13.0 innings during the season.

HIGH SCHOOL
Played four years of varsity baseball at Oceanside High School where he was coached by Dave Barrett ... Two-time Pitcher of the Year for the Pirates ... During his career tied the Oceanside HS record for wins and set the mark for career appearances ... A second-team all-Avocado League selection as a senior after going 6-6 with two saves and a 3.11 earned run average ... Struck out 87 batters over 74.1 innings and tossed five complete games ... As a junior was a first-team all-Valley League honoree after going 8-5 with a pair of saves and a 2.92 earned run average ... Recorded 93 strikeouts and only 20 walks in 84 innings ...
