Played primarily in left field as a freshman in 2011 and will continue in that role this season ... Competed for the Kelowna Falcons in the West Coast Collegiate League during summer of 2011 ... Hit .255 with six doubles, 13 RBI and seven stolen bases ... Played summer ball for the San Gabriel Valley Arsenal in the Long Beach Blair League ... Competed in the National Classic Baseball Tournament in 2010 where he was named to the all-tournament team.

SAN DIEGO STATE 2011
Was named the Mountain West Conference co-Player of the Week when he finished the regular season by going 7-for-11 with two doubles, five RBI and three runs scored in the three-game series at UNLV (May 19-21) ... Over SDSU[apos]s final 10 games 10 batted .387 (12-for-31) with two doubles, five runs scored and seven RBI ... Ended conference play with a .412 batting average in 12 league games ... Also walked twice in those games for a .692 on-base percentage ... Had a season-high three hits in the opener at UNLV ... Was a last-minute starter at Cal State Northridge on March 8 and took the opportunity to hit his first collegiate home run, a shot over the right field fence at Matador Field ... Finished that game with the hit, two walks and three runs scored ... Had a season-best 12-game hitting streak from April 23 to May 14 during which he went 13-for-35 (.371) with a pair of doubles, seven RBI and six runs scored ... He also drew 13 walks and was hit by pitch once over that span for a .551 on-base percentage ... Drove in the winning run against CSU Northridge on May 10 when he was hit by pitch with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth ... One of two Aztec hitters with more than one pinch hit, going 2-for-9 in that role ... Did not commit an error (52 chances) playing in left and right field.

HIGH SCHOOL
Played three seasons of varsity baseball at Orange Lutheran High School ... Coached there by Eric Borba ... Finished his senior season with a .342 batting average, leading the team with 19 runs and 27 hits ... Also had six doubles, a .447 on-base percentage and was 6-for-6 in stolen base attempts ... First-team all-Trinity League honoree ... As a junior in 2009 earned first-team all-league honors after batting .326 with five doubles, a triple, home run and 18 runs batted in ...
