Was named to the 2011 Louisville Slugger Freshman All-America squad by Collegiate Baseball magazine ... A second-team all-Mountain West Conference selection in his first season as an Aztec ... Had a personal best 13-game hitting streak come to an end in the May 14 contest against Brigham Young...During that streak he hit .390 (23-for-59) with six doubles, a triple and 13 runs scored ... Finished the season by hitting safely in 19 of the team[apos]s final 12 contests ... Had a seven-game streak earlier in the season ... Came through with a pair of clutch hits in the game vs. UC Irvine on Feb. 22 ... He singled to drive in SDSU[apos]s second run in the fifth inning and had a two-out double in the bottom of the ninth to drive home the tying run to send the game to extra innings ... He had his first three-hit effort of the year in the May 1 game at Western Carolina and followed that up with another three-hit contest vs. Long Beach State on May 3 ... Led the Aztecs with 15 stolen bases (in 16 attempts)...Ranked third on the team with 14 multiple-hit games and was also third with seven multiple-RBI efforts ... He had a career-high four RBI in the contest at Utah on May 7 ... He hit his first homer as an Aztec in the home game against Oral Roberts on April 3, a three-run shot over the right field fence ... Batted .408 (20-for-49) with runners in scoring position ... Hit .302 in conference play over 24 games with no errors in 72 chances in center field.

Played three years of varsity baseball at Santana High School in Santee, Calif. ... Coached there by Larry Oedewaldt ... A 2010 all-CIF first-team selection ...
