Big Train in the Cal Ripken League where he went 0-1 with three saves and a 3.41 earned run average in nine appearances ... Second victory came at UNLV when he tossed 3.1 innings in relief allowing no runs, no hits and no walks while striking out season-high five batters ... Also notched five strikeouts in his first start of the season, 4.0 innings at Cal Poly on March 23 ... Other start came in season finale against New Mexico at the Mountain West Tournament in Last Vegas (May 26) ... Picked up the victory in SDSU[apos]s win over No. 14 California on March 4 ... .Went seven innings, allowing a run on four hits with a walk and seven strikeouts ... .Retired 13 of the final 14 hitters he faced including 11 in a row from the third through sixth innings ... First outing in a starting role was at New Mexico on March 28 when he went 5.1 innings and took the loss in a one-run contest ...
