Attended Cypress College (Cypress, Calif.) for three years, playing baseball in 2005 as a freshman and 2007 as a redshirt sophomore ... Coached there by Scott Pickler ... In 2007, batted .311 with seven doubles, one home run, 20 runs scored and 30 runs batted in over 50 games ... Team finished as runner-up at state championship tournament ... Was granted a medical redshirt season in 2006 ... As a freshman (2005), batted .327 with five doubles, a homer, 21 runs scored and 12 RBI in 37 contests ...
