PRIOR TO COLLEGE: Graduated in 2023 from Desert Ridge High School in Phoenix, Arizona, where he was a three-year letterwinner for head coach Pat Herrera… Garnered first-team 6A All-Region accolades as a senior after posting a 5-1 record with a 3.20 ERA in nine appearances, including one start… Struck out 30 batters in 50.0 innings… Additionally earned an invitation to the Arizona 6A All-Star Game that season… Served as team captain… Received a No. 13 ranking among right-handed pitchers in Arizona for the 2023 recruiting class by Perfect Game and was rated 27th in the state overall… Was also listed as a Top 500 national recruit by the website… Earned second-team preseason all-region honors by Perfect Game prior to the 2023 campaign after receiving all-region honorable mention the previous year… Landed on the top prospect list at the 2021 Perfect Game West Coast Showcase in Irvine, California… Was named to multiple all-tournament teams at Perfect Game sponsored events, including the 2022 PG 17U World Series in Surprise, Arizona, where he helped his Prime SoCal club team capture the title… Also played two years for the Canyon Thunder club program… Chose the Aztecs over the likes of Arizona State, USC, Washington, New Mexico, Grand Canyon, LMU and San Francisco.
