PRIOR TO COLLEGE: Graduated in 2023 from Oaks Christian High School in Westlake Village, California, where he won three varsity letters under head coach Royce Clayton, who enjoyed a 16-year career as a shortstop in the Major Leagues… Twice served as team captain… Was named the Marmonte League’s Pitcher of the Year and garnered first-team all-conference accolades as a senior after posting a 0.92 ERA in nine appearances, striking out 51 batters against seven walks in 53.0 innings, according to MaxPreps… Limited the opposition to a .190 batting average that season, collecting MaxPreps Player of the Game plaudits on three occasions… Pitched in six games as a junior, helping the Oaks reach the title game of the 2022 CIF SoCal  Division III Baseball Championship, where they fell to Newport Harbor High… Finished with a 3.69 ERA and 14 strikeouts that year, highlighted by a complete-game shutout in the Oaks Christian’s 1-0 victory over La Quinta High in the CIF Southern Section Division III championship finals… Received SB Live California Player of the Week and MaxPreps Player of the Game recognition for his efforts… Also saw action at first base as a prep, collecting 18 hits in 90 at-bats (.200) with two homers, 12 RBIs and six runs scored in 51 games across three seasons… Was rated No. 100 among right-handed pitchers for the 2023 graduating class in California by Perfect Game and earned a No. 265 ranking in the state… Was also listed as a Top 500 nation recruit by the website… Received preseason all-region honorable mention for California by Perfect Game prior to the 2023 campaign after meriting the same distinction as an underclassman the previous year… Landed on the all-tournament team as a member of the GBG Navy club program at the Perfect Game WWBA 2023 Grads or 17U National Championship, held in Marietta, Georgia, during the summer of 2022… Also earned the same honor playing for the Total Baseball Vipers at the 2019 PGBA 14U SoCal MLK Championships in Monterey Park, California… Was additionally named to the top prospect list at the 2021 Perfect Game March Workout Camp in Irvine, California.

PERSONAL: Born in Los Angeles, California… Parents are RJ and Samira Steventon… Along with baseball, also enjoys playing golf… Lists Greg Maddux as his favorite athlete… Plans to major in kinesiology at San Diego State in conjunction with the pre-physical therapy program.
