2019 SEASON (As A Freshman): Saw action in 21 games during his first season on The Mesa, earning five starts at catcher and three at designated hitter … Compiled a .225 batting average with two RBIs … Four of his nine hits went for doubles … Drew six walks in 40 at-bats and scored seven runs … Recorded his first two collegiate hits with a pair of doubles, including one that plated Casey Schmitt in the second inning of the Aztecs’ 4-3 victory vs. Air Force, a game that the was suspended by wintry weather in Colorado Springs and later completed in San Diego (3-2-19) … Collected his first two career runs in SDSU’s 11-5 triumph over Seattle (3-17-19) … Singled and scored in back-to-back victories over San José State (5-5-19) and Brigham Young (5-6-19) … Also came off the bench to smack a ground-rule double and score against UNLV in the first game of the Mountain West tournament (5-23-19) … Finished the year with a team-high 11 at-bats as a pinch hitter.
