2020 SEASON AT CENTRAL ARIZONA COLLEGE (As A Sophomore): Saw action in seven games with one start in his lone season with the Vaqueros that was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic … Recorded a 4.00 earned run average with one save and seven strikeouts, allowing just one hit in 9.0 innings … Preserved CAC’s 8-4 victory over New Mexico JC after overcoming two walks in the ninth (1-31-20) … Earned his only start of the year vs. Triton College, striking out a season-high three batters in 3.2 innings.
SUMMER 2019: Appeared in 10 games as a starter and a reliever for the Bismarck Larks of the Northwoods League, posting a 2-1 record with a 4.61 ERA and 24 strikeouts in 27.1 innings … Was credited with a save after pitching the final 2.1 innings of the Larks’ 6-3 conquest of the Rochester Honkers (6-17-19) … Collected two victories in his last three outings of the year after cracking the starting rotation … Tied his season high with five strikeouts in a five-inning stint, helping Bismarck to a 6-5 triumph over the Willmar Stingers (6-27-19) … Tossed a season-high 6.0 innings in an 8-4 win over the Mankato MoonDogs, allowing just one run on seven hits and two walks (7-10-19) … Was a teammate of fellow Aztec Brian Leonhardt.
2019 SEASON AT MASSACHUSETTS (As A Freshman): Played one season for the Minutemen, appearing in 17 games with four starts … Notched a 3-2 record with a 6.61 ERA and 24 strikeouts in 32.2 innings … Picked up the win in his first collegiate game vs. Central Connecticut State, yielding just one walk against a pair of strikeouts in 1.2 innings of relief (2-23-19) … Made his first collegiate start at Navy (3-3-19) … Combined on UMass’ 1-0 shutout of Boston College, earning the victory after offsetting one hit and one walk with two strikeouts in 3.2 scoreless innings (4-2-19) … Also emerged triumphant in a 9-6 win over La Salle in the second game of a doubleheader where he tied his season high with 3.2 innings of work (4-27-19) … Fanned a season-best four hitters at Rhode Island (5-11-19).
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated in 2018 from Plymouth South (Mass.) High School, where he was a two-time all-Patriot League selection … Garnered conference Pitcher of the Year accolades as a junior in 2017 and captured Patriot League Player of the Year honors as a senior in 2018 … Owns the school record for strikeouts in a single season (103) and one game (17) … Was named a Massachusetts Baseball Coaches Association (MBCA) all-star on two occasions … Twice played in the New England Elite Baseball playoffs at the AAU level … Also received all-scholastic recognition as a prep.
