2022 SEASON (As A Freshman): Saw action in 15 games during his rookie campaign on The Mesa, earning two starts … Posted a 1-0 record with a 4.38 ERA in 24 2/3 innings of work, striking out 25 batters against 11 walks … Yielded one walk or less in 10 appearances … Limited the opposition to a .170 batting average (9-53) with runners on base … Also held opponents to just two stolen bases in seven opportunities … Made his collegiate debut at UC Irvine, offsetting one hit with a strikeout in one scoreless inning (2-22-22) … Notched his first career victory in 1 1/3 innings of relief in the finale of a weekend series at New Mexico, as the Aztecs held on for an 11-8 triumph (4-16-22) … Struck out five batters over four innings in his first collegiate start at UC San Diego (4-19-22) … Also received a starting nod the following week at Long Beach State where matched his season best with four innings pitched but did not factor in the decision despite posting four strikeouts in SDSU’s narrow 4-3 victory (4-26-22) … Fanned a career-high six batters in a three-inning relief stint at home vs. UC San Diego (5-3-22).
