2019 SEASON (As A Sophomore):
Received second-team all-Mountain West recognition after finishing second on the team with a .315 batting average, five home runs and 36 RBI … Also topped the squad with a .415 on-base percentage and ranked third with 63 hits and 42 runs scored … Made 21 appearances with four starts as a pitcher, logging a 3-3 record and a 3.77 ERA in 43.0 innings to go with a team-high eight saves … Led the Aztecs with multiple RBIs in 11 games and tied for second on the squad with multiple hits in 14 contests … Claimed MW Player of the Week honors on March 18 after hitting .556 over a four-game span vs. CSUN (1) and Seattle (3), adding two triples, one double and four RBIs … With his award, he became the first individual in conference history to garner both Player of Week and Pitcher of the Week accolades in his career … Reeled off a season-long seven-game hitting streak from March 9-19 … Recorded a career-high five hits and tied his season best with three RBIs in the Aztecs’ series-opening 11-4 victory at UNLV, highlighted by a pair of home runs (4-26-19) … Additionally totaled three RBIs in wins over Arizona (3-25-19) and San Jose State (twice, 5-4-19 and 5-5-19) … Also registered consecutive saves in the latter two contests against the Spartans, helping SDSU complete a three-game sweep … Struck out a career-high six batters in five innings of the Aztecs' 11-5 triumph over Seattle (3-17-19) … Helped his cause at the plate with a home run vs. the Redhawks.

2018 SEASON (As A Freshman): Became the first SDSU player since Stephen Strasburg in 2007 to be named a freshman first-team All-American by Baseball America after setting SDSU’s single-season earned run average record with a 0.28 mark (minimum 30 IP) ... Became the first freshman since the Aztecs' Ty France in 2013 to earn Mountain West Championships Most Valuable Player honors ... Hit a game-tying two-run double in SDSU’s championship-clinching win over UNLV and pitched three innings of one-hit, shutout relief in SDSU’s extra-inning semifinal win over UNLV to earn his first collegiate win ... Finished the year with 25.1 consecutive scoreless innings and 26 consecutive innings without allowing an earned run... Was one of two players in the country to have driven in 25 or more runs and have an ERA of 1.00 or lower (minimum 15 IP) ... Also named a Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Freshman All-American ... Recorded nine saves on the year, all after April 2, to lead the country in that statistic after the start of April ... Recorded a perfect 0.00 ERA against Mountain West opponents over 18.2 innings pitched and 10 appearances ... Also held MW hitters to a .116 batting average (7-for-60) ... Hit his first career home run  at Air Force (4-8-18) ... Recorded a season-high four hits at UNLV,including two doubles (3-24-18) ... Named Mountain West Pitcher of the Week on April 16 after recording a pair of saves against Cal State Fullerton ... Posted a season-high four strikeouts in two innings against Fresno State on April 20.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated in 2017 from Eastlake High School in nearby Chula Vista, California … Received 2017 Rawlings/Perfect Game  All-America honorable mention … Perfect Game California All-Region First Team Selection… 2015 & 2016 Perfect Game Underclass High Honorable Mention … Was rated as the third-best outfielder and 45th player overall in California for 2017 … Played summer and fall baseball for San Diego Show… Hit .500 as a junior with seven home runs while also serving as the team’s closer… Led Eastlake High to the CIF championship game for the second year in a row in 2017.
