San Diego State Athletics is thrilled to welcome fans back to home events for the Fall 2021 seasons. As we continue to operate with the health and safety of our student-athletes, coaches, staff, and fans as our top priority the guidelines outlined below will be in place for Fall home events on the SDSU campus. Please note that guidelines may be updated at any time based on evolving public health guidance or updated requirements from health authorities or governing bodies.
Aztec Soccer – SDSU Sports Deck
Attendees at Aztec Men’s and Women’s Soccer matches at the SDSU Sports Deck will be expected to adhere to the following guidelines.
- Facial Coverings – Facial coverings are strongly recommended for all fans but not required for vaccinated individuals. Unvaccinated individuals may remove facial coverings if a distance of six feet from others can be maintained.
- Open Seating – Seats will not be assigned at the SDSU Sports Deck. Fans may sit where they’d like to enjoy the match.
- Hand Sanitization Stations – A hand sanitizing station will be set up at the entrance of the SDSU Sports Deck.
- Interaction with Coaches & Student-Athletes – There will be no fan interaction with coaches or student-athletes at this time. This includes family members and friends of individuals participating in competition. Teams will depart to the locker room post-game without interacting with event attendees. As a result, teams will not hold autograph sessions this season.
- Free admission – Admission is free for all regular-season home soccer matches at the SDSU Sports Deck!
- Campus Policies – Throughout your visit to campus please be sure to follow campus guidelines at all times. Updated campus policies can be found HERE.
- Stay Home if Sick – While we are excited to have you back at our events, please do not come to campus if you do not feel well. Remain home to monitor your symptoms and seek medical attention as needed.
Aztec Volleyball – Aztec Court at Peterson Gym
Attendees at Aztec Volleyball matches in Peterson Gym will be expected to adhere to the following guidelines.
- Facial Coverings – Facial coverings are required for all fans.
- Seating - Aztec Volleyball season ticket holders will be granted access to sit in the chairback premium seating section at center court. Single game ticket purchasers may sit anywhere outside of the premium seating section.
- Hand Sanitization Stations – A hand sanitizing station will be set up at the entrance of Peterson Gym.
- Interaction with Coaches & Student-Athletes – There will be no fan interaction with coaches or student-athletes at this time. This includes family members and friends of individuals participating in competition. Teams will depart to the locker room post-game without interacting with event attendees. As a result, teams will not hold autograph sessions this season.
- Tickets – Season tickets can be purchased for $40 and grant you access to the chairback premium seating area. Single game tickets are $5 at the door (cash only) and grant you access to seating outside the premium section.

- Capacity (Updated as of 9/9/21) - Based on California guidance, capacity will be limited to 1,000 people for SDSU volleyball matches in Peterson Gym.
