3rd Annual Scholarship AAF Golf Classic Nets Over $55k
Nov. 21, 2002 The Aztec Athletic Foundation held its 3rd Annual Scholarship Golf Classicon Monday, November 18th at Barona Creek Golf Club. The event, sponsored by Barona Casino and the Barona Band of MissionIndians, and presented by Clear Channel Communications, netted over $55,000for student-athlete scholarships at San Diego State University, matchinglast year's total. "As chairman of the committee, I would like to thank all those who supportedthis fine event," said Golf Classic Chairman David Youmans. "I wouldespecially like to thank Don King and Mike Maio at Barona Creek for theirexcellent job in staging the event. The course is one of the finest in SanDiego County, and everybody had a great time on a beautiful day. And wealso want to thank Barona and Clear Channel for their support of making thissuch a successful event." The AAF thanks all the participants for their support. |
