The Drive 2001 Report Night Scheduled For April 19th

SAN DIEGO - Volunteers from around San Diego County will converge on the campus ofSan Diego State University for Report Night #1 of The Drive 2001,scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday.

The volunteers will be reporting their progress in raising $1 millionfor student-athlete scholarships at San Diego State. The volunteers willbe also treated to a surprise guest speaker at the event.

Currently, volunteers for the Aztec Athletic Foundation have raised$187,142.65. In the team competition, the Scripps Ranch/Poway team isout to an early lead, with $38,965 in pledges to date. In theindividual race, Ben Bagnas leads with $34,970.
