Bramer Named SDSU's New Director Of Compliance April 14, 2003 SAN DIEGO - San Diego State executive director of athletics and special assistant to the president Rick Bay has announced the hiring of Jenny Bramer as the University's new assistant athletic director for compliance. Bramer assumes her new position after spending the past six years in various capacities at her alma mater, the University of Oklahoma. "Jenny's hire was a very important one for us," Bay said, "and we are excited that she is joining the staff. We heard great things about her before she made an on-campus visit and she impressed everyone when we got to know her during the interview process." Bramer served as the director of compliance at OU for nearly two years after two years as the school's assistant director of compliance. Along with her background in compliance, she spent time in Norman as a color analyst for Sooner women's basketball television and radio broadcasts, and was prominent in OU's role as host of the Women's College World Series and the NCAA men's and women's basketball tournaments. She also served as the athletic department's career center coordinator and was an advisor for the Student-Athlete Board. A native of Omaha, Neb., Bramer was a track and field academic All-American at Oklahoma, a Big 12 Post Graduate Scholarship Recipient and the Oklahoma NCAA Woman of the Year. She also earned a varsity letter in women's basketball. Bramer replaces Justina Boyd, who now serves as the Life Skills Coordinator at the University of Colorado. |
