Aztecs Prepare For Full Day Of Action This Saturday March 4, 2004 SAN DIEGO - San Diego State athletics is set for a flurry of activities on Sat. as four different sports prepare to host major events covering the entire day. The action begins with the first spring football scrimmage of the season at 9 a.m. on the football practice fields. The softball team hosts the SDSU Tournament also beginning at 9 a.m. SDSU will open play on Saturday against the defending national champion and top-ranked UCLA Bruins at 1 p.m. The Aztecs conclude their day with a game against Syracuse at 3 p.m. The action heats up at Cox Arena starting at 3 p.m. when SDSU men's basketball tips off its season finale against Utah. The Aztecs will be seeking their second straight victory over the Utes at home, but only their second win in the last 17 matchups overall between the two schools. SDSU baseball concludes the day with a game against No. 22 North Carolina State, which enters the game with a perfect 9-0 record.
