Singles – Totaled nine wins on the year ... Saw action in the top four spots on the Aztecs’ singles ladder during the spring schedule, posting a combined 6-8 record in the third and fourth positions ... Won back-to-back road matches at UC Santa Barbara and Cal Poly, edging the Gauchos’ Anders Holm, 7-6(4), 6-4, before downing the Mustangs’ Axel Damiens, 6-4, 7-5 ... Provided the clinching point in SDSU’s come-from-behind thriller at UNLV with a three-set triumph over the Rebels’ Courtney Lock, 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 ... Snapped an individual eight-match losing streak with a 6-0, 6-1 conquest of Eastern Washington’s Jeremy Mueller ... Pulled away for a 7-5, 6-1 victory over New Mexico’s Dominic West ... Helped the Aztecs complete a furious rally vs. Nevada with a 6-3, 6-2 decision over the Wolf Pack’s Robert Margitfalvi.
Doubles – Went 16-17 on the year as part of five different tandems ... Landed a spot on the all-Mountain West doubles team teaming with Rafael Gonzalez Almazan ... Aztec duo went 6-2 in dual matches, including a 4-1 mark in the No. 1 position ... Helped the Scarlet and Black upset third-seeded New Mexico in the quarterfinals of the MW tournament with a 7-5 decision over the Lobos’ Bart Van Leijsen/Jorge Escutia ... Followed that effort with a 6-3 triumph over Fresno State’s Zdenek Derkas/Cem Erturk in the conference semifinals ... Combined with Nicholas Mitchell for seven victories, highlighted by a 6-2 upset of Harvard’s 40th-ranked Logan Weber/Kenny Tao ... SDSU pairing previously knocked off Brigham Young’s Ben Gajardo/Sam Tullis, 6-4, and Cal Poly’s Roman Shenkiryk/Andrew Whitehouse, 6-3 ... 2016-17 Season (As A Sophomore)
Singles – Tied for third on the squad with 11 wins during his second year on The Mesa, including six during the fall tournament schedule ... Reached the round of 16 after posting four straight victories at the ITA Southwest Regional Championships ... Opened the aforementioned tournament with a 6-2, 6-2 triumph over UC Irvine’s Moritz Geis before outlasting Cal Poly’s Ben Donovan in three sets, 6-3, 1-6, 6-3 ... Took down a pair of UCLA adversaries in the next two rounds by identical scores of 6-4, 6-4, upending Maxime Cressy before vanquishing Daniel Gealer ... Was unable to advance in the bracket, however, falling to another Bruin opponent Gage Brymer by a 6-1, 6-2 tally in the quarterfinals ... Opened the season with a 6-3, 6-3 decision over Pepperdine’s Jack Van Slyke in consolation play at the Battle in the Bay Classic ... Also pocketed a win over Wake Forest’s Charles Parry by a 6-0, 6-2 count in the pre-qualifying draw of the ITA All-American Championships ... Played primarily in the third spot during the spring slate ... Helped the Aztecs defeat Hawai’i in their dual-match opener with a 7-5, 6-3 victory over the Rainbow Warriors’ Ruben Blattner ... Was the first SDSU player off the court in the team’s rout of Saint Mary’s after knocking off the Gaels’ Calvin Jordaan, 6-1, 6-3, to end a personal six-match slide ... Duplicated the feat in the Aztecs’ win over Boise State in their Mountain West opener with 6-4, 6-4 decision over the Broncos’ Brian Tran ... Put the brakes on another lengthy victory drought of nine matches after handing Air Force’s Lucas Fumagalli a 6-3, 6-4 defeat ... Provided the clinching point in SDSU’s road win at New Mexico with a three-set triumph over the Lobos’ Dominic West, 3-6, 6-1, 6-2.
Doubles – Combined with four different teammates, finishing with an 8-15 overall record ... Played all three positions in the Aztecs’ rotation during dual-match play ... Went 4-4 competing alongside Marko Goles-Babic ... Duo opened the spring slate with a 6-3 decision over Ruben Blattner/Felix Albert of Hawai’i before notching back-to-back 6-2 victories over Northern Arizona’s Sebastian Eguez/Ruben Montano and UC Irvine’s Sebastian Heim/Mason Hanson ... Also dispatched Daniel Krutik/Nash Vollenwider of Saint Mary’s by a 6-3 tally ... Made five straight appearances with Santiago Cevallos, beginning with a 7-5 shaving of Boise State’s Pedro Platzeck/Greg Wischer, which secured the doubles point in SDSU’s Mountain West opener ... Recorded the second-most wins on the team in singles play, going 10-11 … Posted a 9-10 mark in dual season action, recording an impressive 5-1 record against Mountain West opponents … Won six of his final seven matches to end the season … Spent the majority of the season in the No. 4 spot, yielding an 8-4 record.
