SAN DIEGO – The San Diego State women’s soccer team (10-3-3, 4-1-2 Pac-12) will play its final regular season match of 2026 on Thursday night at No. 22 Utah State (12-3-3, 5-1-1 Pac-12) at 7:30 p.m. MT/6:30 p.m. PT. The match will be broadcast on the Pac-12 YouTube page.

San Diego State hosted Gonzaga last Friday night in its final home match of the season. Neither team was able to find the back of the net until Gonzaga took a 1-0 lead in the 52nd minute. That score held until the 82nd minute, when KK Chowana-Bandhu scored the equalizer. Six minutes later, Victoria Miller intercepted a Bulldog pass and shot the ball over the keeper to give the Aztecs the lead and the win, clinching a spot in the Pac-12 Tournament.

After winning in their first four Pac-12 matches, the Aggies stumbled, playing Fresno State to a scoreless draw on October 17 in Logan. Utah State followed it up with a 3-1 loss at Gonzaga before bouncing back with a 5-0 win at Oregon State last week. In addition to facing the same other seven teams in conference play where Utah State is 5-1-1 and San Diego State is 4-1-2; each team played a road match at Utah Valley and won by a goal. USU won 1-0 on August 24 and SDSU won 2-1 on September 12.

San Diego State is 9-3-3 against Utah State all-time including a 4-1 record when playing in Logan. Every match has come since 2010 and only once did the teams play before being members of the same conference, which started in 2013. From 2010-2021, the Aztecs won eight of ten matches against the Aggies, drawing twice. Since 2022, Utah State has won three times, SDSU won once and the teams played to a scoreless draw in the 2022 Mountain West Tournament, with San Diego State advancing to the semifinals in penalty kicks, 19-18.

Both teams have opportunities to clinch the Pac-12 regular season title. San Diego State will earn the full championship with a win and a Boise State loss against Washington State. The Aztecs will tie the Broncos atop the standings with a win and a Boise State draw, but the Broncos have the tiebreaker. Utah State will clinch the championship outright with a win and a Boise State draw or loss or a draw combined with a Boise State loss. The Aggies and Broncos will share the title if they both win or draw and Utah State has the tiebreaker. Colorado State, Gonzaga, Oregon State, Washington State and Texas State are all in the running for the fourth seed in the tournament.

SDSU will return to Logan for the Pac-12 Tournament next week. San Diego State, Boise State and Utah State have each clinched spots in the tournament with the fourth one still up for grabs. Semifinal matches are scheduled for 4 p.m. MT/3 p.m. PT and 7:30 p.m. MT/6:30 p.m. PT on Wednesday, November 11. The championship match will take place at 7:30 p.m. MT/6:30 p.m. PT on Saturday, November 14. All Pac-12 tournament matches will be streamed for free on the Pac-12 YouTube channel.
